Amazing place! We really loved staying at this hotel, the owners were very friendly and welcoming, the room was big and clean, a big garden with a pool. Great place to relax, the beach is right next to the hotel! The breakfast was very delicious!

Chitra and her husband are superb hosts, very welcoming and helpful. The property is old but well maintained. The gardens are beautiful with access to an amazing Sandy beach. Breakfast couldnt be better. Chitra made us an evening meal at short notice which was most enjoyable. Thank you Chitra

Everything was just perfect. Chitra and her family are perfect hosts. We liked the heartfelt friendliness, the peacefullness of the location with its huge garden and the beach just across the rails. Best place for relaxing. Very good massage and nice breakfast.

This place is about ten minute walk out of town down a quiet road. It is a two minute walk to the beach through the garden and over the railway line, the beach is lovely, clean and quite long and a good walking beach. The breakfast is the usual fruit, toast and eggs served in the garden and is nice. The bed was comfortable with a net and a fridge in the room and a fan and air-con.
You should be aware that, like most of the places in Bentota, the railway line is just at the bottom of the garden and when the trains rumble through the whole place shakes. They start quite early in the morning (between 5 and 6am), there seems to be a bit of a break during the day and then there are more during the evening and late night. In fairness though, the whole town is built along the railway line and you will struggle to avoid this if you want to stay here. The biggest thing that let the room down was the shower room which was in desperate need of refurbishment, the water was hot but the room is tiny, the shower head was poor, the plastic shower curtain was torn and the toilet had a polystyrene block wedged between the cystern and the wall, presumably to stop it rattling when the trains go through.

The rooms, the lawn, the owners, the massage and the beach. The beach is the best I habe ever been to thus far. The breakfast they served was amazing...the spread of fruits. I had passion fruit for the first time in my life here.
Absolutely nothing...except that for lunch and dinner u has to go tona distance. But the owners made up for it by dropping and picking us from a restaurant as a complimentary gesture. Also the owners can add a hot water kettle with tea bags.

The staff where extremely welcoming and friendly, there was always someone around, to help us out from running us in the tuk tuk, to arranging trips and when we left arranging a lovely driver for us for the onward trip, the accommodation its self is set in the most beautiful garden where you take breakfast in a morning, at the bottoms of the garden the train pasted now and again even this was a delightful Sri Lankan experience and just added to the whole experience. If you walk a few hundred yards you arrive at the most amazing beach going on forever in both directions ( we got up early on our last day and walked before breakfast, before the heat of the day ) was absolute heaven, the bed is the most comfortable Ive slept in, there are no tea and coffee facilities but Im sure if you wanted it would not be a problem and they would gladly provide, the breakfast is out of this world, you are asked the night before your choice of eggs which where cooked to perfection, then you are presented with a fruit platter the likes of which I have never seen in my life,
All in all our only wish was that we where staying longer, but we would definitely come back to lovely place in a heartbeat

Very comfortable room, quiet and relaxed atmosphere... long shady garden leading down to the train tracks and path to the beach. I think it was the loveliest of places we stayed, the beach was gorgeous and empty of people when we were there ( heaven!). Our hosts were extremely kind and available, even with a tuktuk always available for taking trips into town.
I was slightly disappointed to not have a Sri Lankan style breakfast, but the immense fruit platter more than made up for it|

Very friendly and helpful hosts who did everything to make our stay great!
Nice garden and a short walk to the beach, who is just lovely! A bit dark at the beach and walkway in the evening. The host has a tuk tuk and it's just to call if you dont want to walk. They also cleaned the walkway to the beach, great! Great opportunity to have a professional an ayurveda treatment when you are there. More familiar than a regular hotel. The railway runs between the garden and the beach but we didn't think that was a problem.

The family that own and run this are so friendly, helpful and informative. They took us to a 2nd property where they have an amazing jungle swimming pool. The breakfast is big and very tasty, the room was big and comfortable and just a 2 minute walk from the beach.
I would definitely stay here again.

The guest house was in a lovely peaceful setting with a large garden where we had a delicious breakfast consisting of a variety of fruits and toast. The room was large with a comfortable bed plus a table, chairs and a fridge. The beach was a 2 minute walk away. The staff were kind and helpful and made our stay very pleasant.
