Wonderful
This lovely Villa is run by gracious Ruchira and her lovely sister . We had a lovely room above the dining room overlooking the pool . The place is in a lovely area far from the hustle and bustle and honking of horns , of a city or busy village . Its located near a river . We were surprised to discover that it was a fully complete apartment . The whole area was super clean , the pool sparkling and it was obvious that the owners takes pride in their garden too .
Breakfast was huge , excellent omelette if you chose the english breakfast , complete with a fruit platter , thick fresh juice , coffee/ tea and toast . It was enough for the two of us . We also had the Sri Lankan breakfast with chicken curry and egg hoppers , juice and fruit platter . Being so close to the river , we also took the opportunity to request for a seafood dinner of fresh prawns and fish . It was delicious .
We were sad to leave as it was really so comfortable .

Best room so far after 4 weeks in sri lanka. Very kind lady owner spotless room with large bed great hot shower kitchen with cooking facilities and seating area outside room, cleanest pool I've seen, lovely surround and chipmunks to look at while in pool everything of a high quality a great experience highly recommend

The room was lovely with a private balcony where you could sit and a shared balcony where meals were served. The room was spotless and beautifully fitted -- a comfy bed and a super shower.
Ruchira, the host, was so friendly and helpful- she took me on her bike to the beach which is gorgeous, offered to buy me a train ticket as I wanted to return by train, and helped me with a visit to Lunuganga Gardens. She also arranged a river safari for me with Harinder (Harin) who was an absolutely fantastic guide-- he spotted so many animals and birds and took me for one of the best river safaris I've ever been on. I highly recommend doing the river safari with him.
Breakfast was excellent. I also ordered dinner there one night and the food was fabulous- made by Osaka, Ruchira's sister.
Location was quiet, very pretty with lots of scope for nice walks, including to the Bentota Temple on the river. You could see the river in the distance but cant easily walk along the river. The beach is a short tuk tuk ride away and so are a number of restaurants. Its very easy and affordable to order a tuk tuk.
Overall this was such an amazing stay-- I very much recommend it. The reviews that Ruchira has got are amazing -- but she more than deserves these wonderful reviews. I hope to be back again soon!

We liked everything!! The hosts were super kind, paid attention to every detail. We felt really comfortable.
The villa is beautiful, the furniture really comfortable, the food amazing. The place is quite, and invites to stay, read a book, relax. Really clean, the kitchen is really handy, and the bathroom really new and very hot water.
We will come back!!

We booked this lovely accommodation from other reviews saying great things! I am about to say the same! The family hosts are so friendly, helpful and just simply wonderful. Definitely one of the best stays we had in our 3 weeks.
Spacious, super clean and comfortable rooms. We had 2 rooms upstairs with 2 balconies. Peaceful lush surrounds and a very easy tuk tuk to beach or tours.
Eating here is a must!! It is like restaurant quality food. Delicious!
We spent our last 2 nights in Sri Lanka here. It was the perfect way to end a perfect 3 weeks.

This is the second time we have stayed here.
Ruchira the host and all her staff were superb.
She happily arranged trips (ask for Harry to take you on a river safari, he is superb at spotting things and loves nature) for us as well as tuktuks to get around and an airport taxi. She booked a table for us at a restaurant she recommended too. Nothing was too much trouble for her. The rooms are huge and well equipped, more like apartments, breakfast is varied and tasty, and the whole place and pool are spotlessly clean. Fresh coconut water as we sat by the pool was also a nice generous surprise

Spotlessly clean premises, sparkling clean refreshing pool, we were warmly greeted with a delicious fruit drink upon arrival. Family run business, much nicer than staying at a hotel. Shower was amazing, plenty of water, the air-conditioning actually worked, not like another hotel we stayed in at Bentota beach. Lush surroundings, very peaceful, lors of birds, we would definitely stay here again. The meals are home made and were very tasty and were delivered to a table outside our room in the garden. Thank you so much for having us.
