Exceptional
Great location and close to beach, shopping, restaurants and a variety of personal services (my wife took advantage of therapy massages). The owner was extremely hospitable, and the breakfast was a delight...we didn't know he was an ex-resort chef from the Bahamas and UAE (a great surprise) who is also good with Sri Lankan cuisine. As we are early risers it was great fun to watch the squirrels playing on the back lawn in the morning along with a variety of birdlife in the trees and flowers in the garden. It was a great break, and we would highly recommend the villa and its host.
We were not prepared with shower, bathroom soaps and shampoo so when we go again will definitely remember to bring our favorites but other than that we didn't need anything else and if we did, there were plenty of grocery shops, markets, food stalls, chemists all within a short 200-meter stroll.
