Very friendly and extraordinarily helpful owner - he knows the region perfectly and gave us a lot of recommendations for trips, transportation and restaurants. The view is amazing, breakfast is also good with lots of fresh fruit. The room was clean, but the whole area is just very misty and moist and you can see and feel that in the room. The windows are not the best so you also hear the street. The train station is very close by. In general I can recommend it, if you want to stay for a few nights. Haputale is a friendly town and great start point to explore the beautiful region, if you look for a less touristy alternative to Ella.

The view from hotel is excellent ,also walkable distance to train station . If we travelling to Pattipola or Badulla side its easy location. We can travel by train.If we gone there by car it can park in hotel and then we can travel by train also.Haputhale town is very near ,we can buy our needs there.Rcommnded for nature lovers .Thanks for hotel owner and his wife. They are warmly welcoming all their guests .
Breakfast should be vary,all the days we had same breakfast. As I know they can give Vietnamese traditional soup for breakfast. Please pay attention about this matter.

Our host is exceotional, he was very helpful with all the issues and had a deep knowledge about the area and further from all the country! He helped also to prepare takeaway breakfast which was excellent for early morning hikes. Highly recommended!

Very warm welcome by the host and his family. The view over breakfast was breathtaking. The room was simple but comfortable. The place is about 10min walk from the train station.

1. Location is good, 5-10 min walk from train station and restaurants 2. Owner is very accommodating and arranged tuk tuk at 4:45 to lipton’s seat for sunrise and packed breakfast with water for us. We walked down to the tea factory and took bus back to town. 3. Owner also recommended us how to take bus to our next destination to the coast! It was easy and saved us a lot of money. ( by car is 25000 rp and it costs 1500 rp for two ppl in the bus) though we don’t have suitcase but backpacks so ok for taking bus 4. The view is very nice though a lot of time is covered by clouds 5. Wifi and hot water work well. no fan/ac in the room but it was cold in March so i don’t think fan or ac needed 5. try green paradise restaurant which is good and cheap. The mint mist restaurant has a good view but more pricy

Beautiful scenery. Relaxed atmosphere. Comfortable bed. Hot shower. The bread at breakfast was the best and great boiled eggs. Lovely people
Could be a bit cleaner. The marmalade at breakfast is getting past its sell by date. Nothing major just little things.
