Paradise for people who are in love with nature, lots of bugs ? squirrels ?️ lizards ? monkeys ? natural waterfalls downstairs from your chalet, beautiful views to paddy fields We were upgraded to a beautiful glass chalet with a private access to water stream, very comfy chalet with 2 room balcony and terrace. The manager organized for as trip to nearby waterfall which was a bit of a hike, with our 3 and 5 years old it was an adventure hike ending at the gorgeous waterfall with its own natural pool. We went as well for a village trip with a small temple you can visit. Very delicious breakfast fresh juice fruits and the most delicious string hopped with coconut filling inside ?

We loved the hospitality, the ambiance, the spa.
The food was good but can be improved, tough meat and the river fish had too many bones. The staff kindly replaced it with chicken which was good but the hotel could improve on their cuisine.
We loved staying on the river, but it does make a lot of noise.

I mean, where do I even start. The property itself is stunningly beautiful, accommodation plush and food excellent but the people and service are what really set this resort apart from others. The staff particularly Asanka and Thusith. These guys did more for me than any other resort experience I have ever had. Traveling alone by motorcycle I had no cell service, Asanka went so far as to go to town on his own to find me a portable WiFi router not to mention he loaned me his for the day while he was looking for one for me. Thusith took care of me like family with food, drinks, property tour, and insuring my laundry was collected and ready for me. The massage was fantastic from a true professional, he took special attention to the areas motorcycle riding strains. I really cannot thank and say enough good things about my experience. Then, to top it off Alsanka noticed my motorcycle was dripping oil and had one of the crew come take a look. If it wasn’t for this I surely would have blown the engine. He didn’t stop at that he and Thusith rode a scooter to town while I followed and took me to a store with oil, filled it for me and wished me safe travels.

This Place is truly amazing: the nature, the views, the pool, the spa , the great food. But the very Best are the AMAZING lovely people working there . Really everyone did there very best to fullfil us every wish and make the days there unforgettable. Special thanks for Dumi, the Manager : I will never forget your exceptional Service, your kindness and hospitality. We were in 7 different Hotels across Sri Lanka- all rated above 9 … But Glen Rock was outstanding. It deserves a 12 instead of a 10! I would come back and recommend it to all my Friends .

A unique boutique hotel in a unique location. We stayed for three days, it was three days of absolute peace, relaxation and fantastic views. There are only mountains, rice fields and wildlife around. Giant squirrels came to us for breakfast while we tasted the best tea in the world. A wonderful, courteous, friendly team that treats guests like beloved relatives. They are ready to respond to any whim (guys, we miss you already). To get to the most stunning views, the hotel provides you with transportation. And there is also a Spa where you can get treatments in complete unity with nature. In short, we have loved this place forever.
It’s just hard to get this place. But maybe it’s an advantage:)

We booked this hotel doing our research and we were very happy with the choice.
The Glenrock staff made our trip to Belihuloya memorable for long time and make us wanted to visit this amazing place more than once.
I wanted to take this opportunity thank few people make this trip so memorable. They are by names Asanka, Thusith and Duminda further, rest of staff members worked in the kitchen and all other sections of the Hotel. They work tirelessly to make our stay comfortable and adventurous by arranging all tours around Belihuloya looking after us with all our needs.
Only issue was the rain but it is act of nature

Such a wonderful place. It gives you a really authentic Sri Lankan experience - although you are staying in a nice room, you feel like you're in nature and at the same time, you're staying with family in a small village, taking part in their every day life. The village walking tour is highly recommended! We learned so much about the country just from that one activity alone. The staff are all wonderful, and you won't want to leave!
Everything was great. The one minor issue is how long it takes to get food - but they are upfront about it, and recommend you to order a bit in advance. Not a big problem, and it forces you to slow down!

TheGlenrock is a magical place for us, which is not only located in a beautiful jungle landscape, but also offers the best service - always with a big smile and the “we make it happen” attitude. No wish is left unfulfilled, everything is possible. The penthouse where we stayed offers a spectacular view, the large terrace is a wonderful place to sit, and a few floors below is the restaurant with really delicious cuisine. We often saw the chefs picking herbs and salads from their own garden. So: everything is fresh and delicious.
Special thanks to Asanka, who really knows no problem and always finds a solution, Thusith, who looked after us so lovingly and took us on the most beautiful tours into the jungle, always in a good mood, and Nevika, the best masseur and yoga teacher (on the roof with a view in the morning). But all the staff were also always smiling and so friendly.

The Glenrock exceeded by far our expectations. The customer service, attention to detail, and quality for the products and services provided were beyond excellent. The staff was attentive, friendly, and always found a way to surprise us for the best!
Thusith took very good care of us, helping with recommendations and organising our tours.
Pradeep provided exceptional service as yoga instructor, and massage therapist, the best we have experienced in years.
The food was prepared from scratch for us, fresh quality product prepared with love and care. Options to cater any taste. We will be coming back for sure!
It felt a little bit chilly in the evening/night. I would have liked to be able to make our room a little bit warmer. But knowing this, I will be prepared for next time with warmer clothes for the colder evenings.

This place in Belihuloya is a real hidden gem! Tucked away in a beautiful forested area, it’s the perfect spot to unwind and get close to nature. You’ll be surrounded by lush greenery and the peaceful sounds of the forest—truly an escape from it all.
The staff here were awesome—super friendly and welcoming. Big shoutout to Asanka, who went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. It’s rare to find people who genuinely care, but that’s exactly what you’ll get here.
The food was just amazing! The Sri Lankan dishes, in particular, were a highlight—so much flavor, and everything tasted fresh and authentic. From delicious curries to all the classic local sides, it was honestly some of the best Sri Lankan food I’ve had.
If you’re looking to relax, enjoy great food, and be around wonderful people, this place in Belihuloya is definitely worth checking out!

From the moment we booked at The Glenrock everything was superb. The hotel communicated with us before arrival to ask if we had any requirements and also to ensure we were clear where we were going so didn’t get lost.
The location was idyllic and peaceful with access to waterfalls and walks nearby. The room was extremely comfortable and we were lucky enough to have direct access to the river from the balcony.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they were attentive without being overbearing and everyone was so friendly. The eco effort put in by the hotel was excellent with glass water bottles and refillable glass shower gels and shampoos.
The food was delicious and excellent portions with the breakfasts and curry in banana leaf particular highlights.
We enjoyed the experience so much we decided to stay an extra night at the end of our trip :)
Special mention to Asanka who was superb throughout and an absolute credit to the place, awesome guy and hopefully meet him again the next time we stay.
Not so much didn’t like but minor points to make it even better.
A slightly broader vegetarian option with protein would be welcome. They did not have the full range of drinks available but this could well have been because it was the off season.
More for info, but if a strong WiFi connection is important then you will be struggling, it was ok for WhatsApp calls but did keep dropping out during then. That said it is a nature retreat so hopefully this isn’t too important!

To feel at peace, calm and be one with nature - this is your place. Lovely modern, very comfortable accommodation & facilities. The location was stunningly beautiful surrounded by nature & centrally located for any activities, ie walk to the local village; not too far to drive to Waterfalls; we loved the morning Yoga; etc The staff incredibly knowledgeable; very friendly, kind, caring, accommodating, & professional. Loads of flexibility around dining, ie on the day of leaving we had to leave early for our train journey and we couldn’t do breakfast so the staff organised the most beautiful packed brunch for us to take with us for our train journey - we loved everything from the fresh sandwiches; gorgeous fruit and yummy pancakes. They were so incredibly kind and thoughtful and organised our transport to Haputale to ensure we got our train to Kandy. We will definitely ? be coming back as our stay was so comfortable and relaxing we didn’t want to leave. We cannot thank Asanka, Nilantha & Pradeep for making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable.

The facility is one thing but the staff, the complimentary aspects, the care and attention of everyone was fantastic. From the manager, to the driver, the restaurant staff, the chefs, everybody is kind, patient, hospitable and knowledgeable about the surroundings. It is a wonderful mix of comfortable stay with facilities and immersion into nature. The one hour massage, the yoga session, the tour in the village with the local guide were all extra perks that we enjoyed thoroughly. We even asked for traditional coconut pancakes for breakfast and the chefs prepared a delicious meal every time. They shared local snippets with us about the flora, fauna and culture of the region, we visited the temple and the rice fields, the school. The manager and the staff were always attentive with our needs and questions, they drove us and picked us up from the locations. We cannot recommend the place enough, truly! It's been the highlight of our three-week Sri Lanka trip so far. It is not just an accommodation, it's a story in itself ?♥️
