Wonderful
It’s an all inclusive resort with many restaurants and meal times throughout the day. Sauté is a must try when you are there. Loved the performances in the purple lounge and the entertainment staff were super friendly.
The restaurants were silent and some music would have created a nice ambiance during meals.

Excellent staff, they made our stay incredible. Everyone was extremely attentive and friendly, especially Mr Malinda who was incredibly helpful, attentive and offered a great service.
Miss Julia Sub-director was incredibly professional and friendly despite all the customers at the hotel.
Food was excellent, we tried all three (Asian, Italian and Steak) restaurants and all of them were really good quality.

Excellent hotel for someone looking for all inclusive. The food options were excellent in the main restaurant covering many options and we haven't tried any other restaurants. Good drink options overall including they have in restaurant as well
It gets tooo busy on weekends, room service is slow. i was shocked to hear 'No but we can try', as i requested for refilling the tea bags and surprisingly told by reception that it is not included. This thing is very basic and its included in all hotels which are even not all inclusive. Shower room was very basic

I was attacked by Tuk Tuk guys in front of hotel because I choose my own driver to town for better price I offered the guys to put down the price and they didn’t want to… so they stop my car and one by one yelled on us … in car was kids and I felt very uncomfortable and unsafe there … everything happened on hotel property and security guy laughed.. I spoke with manager and he act like he didn’t know what I talk about it and afternoon the Tuk Tuk guys still there.. Well as customer my free will in this place was offended

There were lots of pools and lounge chairs. Good food selection, the local food choices were very tasty. Coffee bars were good. They upgraded one of our rooms so our kids could be next to our room. I felt safe.
We appreciated their well stocked mini fridge. And they were able to get us a sewing kit to fix a button when we requested it.
It was a little expensive.
The pool bar closes too early, but thankfully the inside bar's drinks were better anyways.
We were not informed, in advance, that the steak restaurant wasn't open on Friday - Sunday. So we weren't able to make a reservation there as we arrived on a Thursday and was already booked for that night.
Their app for booking dining doesn't work really well.
More juice options for the fridge over soda would have been great.

First of all the staff were friendly and the large amount of inclusive food and beverages was more than satisfying. The buffet and cocktails were very much plentiful as well. Next the large number of properly maintained facilities and events on the resort with the very cheerful staff are another additional plus point.
I wish the snacks corner could be improved with more healthy items rather than standard fried food.
The ac used in the rooms are sooo cool that once they are turned off and balcony doors are opened there is a thick layer of water that forms on the floor due to the large difference between outside and inside the room
I would suggest to put some notice or a warning saying that once the ac is turned off be careful of the water that forms on the floor due to the humidity difference.

The hotel was nice. A specious outdoor area with 3 pools. Service was and the staff were attentive.
The hotel totally misses the mark when it comes to food and beverages. Being a RIU resort you tend to expect the same quality you get from their sister resorts in Mexico.
The bar menu was small and limited. Asked for a margarita and a moscow mule (which are pretty generic drinks) but they didn't have those. They had daiquiri on the menu (but no blenders at the bar), so no frozen drinks. Everything was just shaken instead of frozen, so all drinks taste pretty much the same. Only one type of beer available.
When it comes to food, the breakfast menu was again limited and the same everyday. None of the speciality restaurants were open. Lunch and dinner was just ok, but nothing special.
In summary, RIU Sri Lanka is good for only one night, if you have never been to another all-inclusive resort before.

Check in and check out did not take much time. There was a large variety of food items to choose from and they were refilled on time.
There were unlimited drinks and the quality was maintained.
I liked that they had 4 pools to cater to the crowd.
Finally, I really enjoyed the performance by the 'Anime Team' which was energetic.
Unfortunately for us we went on a weekend and it was really crowded. We cannot blame the hotel but would have preferred a much more relaxing atmosphere.

Stayed at this hotel for 5 nights after 2 weeks touring Sri Lanka. The service was absolutely brilliant from the moment we arrived. Housekeeping was excellent and aside from servicing the rooms really well, went out of their way to check we were happy. Service in all the restaurants and bars was excellent - never had to wait for drinks and all staff were very attentive. Food in all the restaurants was also very good with a lot of choice including for myself as a vegetarian and a toddler. Rooms were well sized, clean, comfortable and with good working air conditioning and hot water. We absolutely loved our stay here and wouldn't hesitate to come back.
Loved everything. Pools could do with some light maintenance - all OK but some areas need re-grouting. Note that the sea is not suitable for swimming but the beach is beautiful.
