Disappointing
I sense some good vibes with the people and workers during my stay.
I requested a lower bunk and was approved, but after checking in, I was given the upper bunk for some reason. During my stay, only two people, including myself, occupied a space with six beds, and just one of the three lower bunks was used. I believe it was staged because the two beds on the lower bunks looked prepared as if they were used, yet no employee cleaned up after them. Additionally, the stairs to the bunks shake as you go up.

Very Good
Although short, my stay at The Grand Meshmosh was quite pleasant: the staff were always attentive and welcoming, the communication was great from the very beginning, and the shared room was clean. The traditional breakfast they offer was plentiful and delicious.
I believe the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner and better maintained. Otherwise, everything was generally good.

Wonderful
Nice breakfast
Dorm rooms and shared bath a little tight for number of people and their luggage

Good
The location is good also the crew is kind and helpful.
The internet connection doesn't work properly and my room smells like urine. I told that issue many times but noone didn't fix it.

Wonderful
Location is central but it’s quiet. It was clean and as the pics. Staff were super friendly. Fatima, Michel, Jad & Ahmed are wonderful.
No elevators, but that’s common in older buildings in Beirut. But the staff help you get it to your room.

Very Good
The breakfast was tasty and the staff were amazing! This place is a haven for extroverts, not me haha, but I didn’t have any issues.
There was a blood stain on the bedsheet.
It’s a lively place so I was expecting some noise around 12-1am, but after that all was good.
And as always, like any shared room, there has to be that one person who snores.

Pleasant
Very hipster place. Good vibes overall (hostel vibes) and good location near the Mar Mikel area with many restaurants and bars.
Lebanese breakfast included.
Not very easy to find by taxi.
The rooms are in a different building, not in the same as the reception/restaurant. No elevator.
Very very basic and small room. Not super clean (used hand soap on the sink).
To be honest its really overpriced for what it is (around 70 USD! It is worth half).

Fair
Good location but up a big hill. Our room was NOT in the main building though - it was in a random side building…
We weren’t in the main building so if you’re thinking you’d like a hotel for safety in Beirut (people in lobby at night etc) this isn’t it. We were in a random building. Super small room. Airbnb is much better value in Beirut. This hotel felt deceptive in having buildings nowhere near each other. Also, felt political (stickers on the door etc) in a way that was not welcoming to visitors that paid for the hotel. Hotels shouldn’t be political… they should make paying guests feel safe and welcome.
