Wonderful
Good location , close to a night market, with good variety of street food. The family managing the hotel were very helpful, with booking activities, and transport. Good breakfast. ?

AThe buffet breakfast is a highlight. Western and eastern choice, it’s very fresh, lots of ingredients, healthy and not so healthy all catered for. Don't get too hungover and miss this opportunity. Location v convenient, can walk to heaps of shops, restaurants, bars, massages, the Mekong.
There is road work in the streets nearby you need to be wary of this they sometimes block walkways etc (March 2025). the tv reception was not great for all channels. Also for some reason they never answered a call to reception, but staff otherwise v helpful.

Breakfast on the front veranda were excellent providing a nice mix of Lao and western food.
The WiFi was really slow. It was hard to get anything done on my iPad because of this.

The included breakfast was tasty and generous.
The bathroom was filthy, previous guests hairs were everywhere. Room was dusty. ‘Clean glasses’ were dirty and covered in previous toothpaste residue. Staff were unfriendly.

The location was good and the lady on reception was very helpful.

Disappointing
The property was based in a good location, the room is basic and bed was comfortable. The staff were nice.
The lobby of the hotel was very cluttered and felt more like a home stay with staff sleeping in sofas. The lobby smelt of mice. With the smell of mice we lacked confidence in the included breakfast so we just ate cereal.

Location...charm...staff...everything
Probably a bit too much junk on ground floor when could be a really nice cafe...and the sound carries in this old house...but this family run hotel has charm and they are lovely people. I love places like this and the location is the best district..cafe culture land

Good location, breakfast was OK, room was basic but comfortable.

Wonderful
I was very satisfied with my stay. Although the room equipment was older, everything was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was also tasty. The approach of the staff was very accommodating. I recommend!

Disappointing
The departure
I had bedbugs from the bunk beds. I did not feel comfortable at all and the people there smelled like wild animals. Their body odour was so bad, I even thought about sleeping with a mask on. The guests do not seem to value personal hygiene at all. Keep that in mind if you book it.
