The hotel was quite simple and inexpensive. I thought the mattresses and pillows were comfortable, and there are blackout curtains in the room which keeps it nice and dark for sleeping. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
There were some kind of flying ants or termites that seemed to be infesting the property. I'm used to seeing that in the evening in this part of Asia but they were literally flying around all day, but worse in the evening. It made it impossible to enjoy the river view outside and the property was covered with their little dead bodies by morning, which weren't swept up. I stayed at another place further inland in Savannakhet as well as went to the night market which is near the water, and neither of those places had it as bad. I had to roll up a towel and put it by the bottom of the door so that they wouldn't come into my room. Maybe it's seasonal? But it was definitely worse than anywhere else I was in Savannakhet.

We book a room suite with kitchen. It was perfect cause it has it own washer in the second restroom, the only thing is no dryer you’ll have to hang dry clothes outside or inside. Perfect for small family. We loved our stay in the suite. The staff were nice enough to grab more hangers for us as well. And the hospitality and service was amazing great and food was great lots of options with American, Indian, Mediterranean and local foods.
The only thing we didn’t like was the suite didn’t have a clothing rack to hang dry our clothes. We had to buy a rope to hang out stuff outside. If there was a portable drying rack it would be an amazing. But other than that our stay was great.

The view was amazing, you’re right by the Mekong river. Weather was perfect, not too hot. The property manager and team was amazing and helpful.
The hot water was not hot enough, but it was good enough. Wish it was a littler hotter but other than that it was still good.

Very comfortable bed with bedside lights and tables! Location on the Mekong superb with huge terrace overlooking the river. Ideal sunset spot! Easy and cheap motorbike hire from Joe. Great view of Mekong from room. Joe very helpful organising our taxi to bus station.
Restaurant closed day we stayed - didn't know in advance. Fridge door broken in room. Hotel sign very small - hard to spot!

We had a fabulous two nights at this inn. The room was really comfortable and clean with good AC, a comfy bed, fridge, safe, coffee making facilities .... it has everything you need for a short or long stay. We would have loved to stay longer as it had a really lovely vibe to it. It was the perfect setting by the river with plenty of outdoor as well as indoor seating to chill and also only a short walk away from town. The owner and staff were excellent and really looked after us during our stay. The food here is excellent and cooked to order with a huge variety to choose from and generous portions. It was the perfect stay and we would highly recommend you stay here if you’re in this area. It is extremely good value for money.

The staff always go above and beyond the usual level of service in the region. They are alert and attentive. They have also helped find solutions to challenges travelers face. I always like the cafe, especially in the morning for convenience. The river views are some of the best in Savannakhet town. The bathrooms and general cleanliness are excellent. Having power outlets everywhere is great.
I can't think of anything. I do wish I had more power outlets next to the TV. I always forget to bring a cord for that.

Location is quiet with s lovely sunset view from the restaurant deck overlooking the slow moving Mekong River and its fishermen. Upper floor corner room was comfortable with a good bed and two window views so good light during the day.
Shower drain didn’t drain properly and almost flowed past the toilet area into the room. Staff addressed our concern so the next morning, it worked a bit better but still was slow to drain so seems like it needs to be cleaned out better and maintained.

Amazing place for Lao Pilgrims, border runners, culture vultures and ramblers. It's homey, comfortable and so laid back. Superb food - Indian, Mexican, Western and local. Eat on the wooden terrace right next to the Mekong or in air-conditioned comfort. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful The best coffee I have had in a long time. Oh, so comfortable and relaxing by the river.
If you accept Savannakhet's laid back style then nothing important
If you looking for a 5 star luxury resort then this is not it and you will see minor faults.

Amazing place on the bank of Mekong river, beautifull terace for relaxing or having delicious meal, very kind people and kind and very well english speaking owner. Don't forget to taste and buy their tasty coffee. In my opinion the best place where to stay in Savannakhet.

Everything was awesome! I cannot believe this place exists in sleepy Savannakhet! Great location right above the river, easy walk from the bus station, nice restaurant/cafe on site, clean rooms with all the amenities you may need, strong Wi-Fi. And my personal most favourite thing: you can pay by card!
Right next to the hotel there is a small park, where there was a live concert and stall selling food and beer, I am not sure if this happens all the time or I was lucky, but it was a very nice addition and I enjoyed spending time there.
The scooters they rent seem a bit expensive compared to the rest of Laos, but then again, Savan is not so touristy I guess.

The staff were all friendly and helpful. There were many options for good coffee. The food was great, with a wide variety of options. We really enjoyed the outdoor seating area for eating and drinking, we had breakfast, lunch and dinner here. In the evening there is a nice view over the river for sunset. Good aircon in the room
and the beds are large and comfortable.
The bathroom was a little tired, but it was clean. Overall the value for money is good.
