Our stay at Aykun Hotel was good. Hotel location is excellent; major malls, shops, tourist attractions in Astana City are within 2-5 kms of hotel. The breakfast was also good, had variety of foods to choose from. They even celebrated my birthday and arranged a small cake with candles to cut though we didn't ask ourselves, it was really sweet and memorable experience. Rooms are good too, they are clean and bathrooms too are decently sized.
There isn't anything we can think of which we didn't like at the hotel.

The staff was so friendly and almost helped about every single detail including taxi call, spa, change office, water, etc. It is well located and close to everywhere. Pocket saver hotel for the travellers.
Spa and Hamam facilities are old fashioned a bit. Breakfast was also standard and not that much tasty.

The beds were comfy, the room clean, warm enough and quiet, fair enough for a short one night stay like ours. The staff were helpful and friendly, smooth check-in, and check-out.
The breakfast left much to be desired. Everything looked unappetizing and stale, except for things that they didn't make themselves (like yogurt or cereal, lol). There wasn't any coffee offered in the breakfast buffet either, which is a pity. Or at least I couldn't find it.
