The facilities need maintenance badly and an upgrade will be great, like add a bidet, fix the light and fixtures. Some of it doesn't work. Limescale on the kettle. Maybe have an iron and ironing board for clothes. Add a little more clothes hanger.

Poorly maintained, old style, petty things needed attention

Breakfast was not good, neither taste nor election. Poor coffee from a slow coffee machine with queues. And moved to a temporary breakfast room without view toe the Baiterek tower The worst thing is the scam photos on booking.com. the terrace and the breakfast with view to the Baiterek are not existing. I took photos of the "restaurant". And there were no workers at all on a Monday, so this is not a short renovation, but a permanent thing. When I complained at the reception, the receptionist first told me straight: this photo is not our hotel. I asked her then to come with me to the 3rd floor to show it to her. And all the sudden she agreed that this is their hotel, but why would I complain, cause I still got some breakfast. Spoke then to the manager and asked her for a partial refund, but that was refused. The rooftop restaurant was neither accessible to hotel guests as it was rented out for closed groups. The hotel could have at least moved the breakfast there to compensate for the missing terrace restaurant Also the pool/spa is not the hotel pool. It is a neighboring spa called Bali Spa. Basically one could also use it against a small fee when staying in another hotel nearby, it is not exclusively for Hotel Diplomat guests. Filed a complaint with booking.com

It was a bit outdated, smelly room and the bed was hard and not very comfortable. Bathroom was small and needs renovation.

At breakfast I had the experience that the staff was a little lazy. Also the spa and fitness are located behind the hotel and many of machines in fitness don’t work.

The rooms are super tired, the carpets are old, the bathtub had dents and marks, the wallpaper peels off in the corners The room was not cleaned, and the front desk didn’t respond to my comment that the room had not been cleaned The gym is in the other building, it is difficult to use the gym when there is a snowstorm going on Breakfast food was tasty but the food would finish by 9 am and not replenished

We booked a room with a breakfast buffet, but the food was terrible. The room was not cleaned properly and had an unpleasant smell. The mattress was in poor condition, with broken springs that caused back pain and made it impossible to sleep comfortably. Although there was a TV, it did not work. The room did not have centralized heating or air-conditioning; the hotel only provided a portable heater, which did not work properly, leaving us to sleep without proper air circulation. The room service staff was unfriendly, and the hotel management penalizes guests for unintentional messes without any excuse.
