What I Liked About Ramada Almaty I really enjoyed my stay at Ramada Almaty. The location was excellent—right in a convenient area with everything easily available nearby. Being an international brand, the hotel felt safe, clean, and cosy, which added a lot of comfort to the stay. The room was spacious with plenty of breathing space, and the bathroom was also well‑maintained. Housekeeping did a great job; they cleaned the room every day and changed the linens regularly. Taxi pickups were smooth, and the hotel’s location made it easy to reach all major attractions. Overall, a comfortable, clean, and reliable stay.
What I Didn’t Like About Ramada Almaty First thing , the hotel is old !! There were a few areas that didn’t meet my expectations. The spa, swimming pool, and gym located downstairs didn’t impress me—they felt a bit outdated and not very well maintained, as if something was missing in terms of upkeep and atmosphere. The staff were also not as welcoming as I had hoped. They were helpful when needed, but the warmth and hospitality I’m used to in other international hotels wasn’t really there. I also had a small incident that left me uncomfortable: I asked a housekeeping staff member for a bottle of water, and she refused, saying they could only refill water during room cleaning and couldn’t hand it over separately. It might be normal for some places, but it felt unusual to me, especially since I’ve stayed in many 4‑ and 5‑star hotels in Dubai and never experienced something like that. The breakfast was another disappointment. The food lacked variety and didn’t have anything particularly tasty or memorable. Overall, I would say the breakfast quality was below average.

Location is fine
To my surprise and shock, I want to share few intolearble experiences that I am facing 1. There was no water in the room on 1st as the stock was over with housekeeping, but we can buy from your restaurant and pay 2. They dont provide glasses even though we are 3 people in the room they will still provide 2 3. The person who was in restaurant taking calls last night was extremely rude and had no basic manners and courtesy on how to treat their guests. 4. They served 2 plates instead of asking and requesting for 3 5. When we requested that we will pay you after you get 3rd plate the server was straight enough to pick everything and leave the room. 6. We were also given a reason that if every room will ask for plates and glasses we cannot fulfill the demand-but this is not my problem that I need room service and you are not able to fulfill one. 7. There were no towels even after so many reminders

Staffs , they were rude all the time , especially in the breakfast place . Also room service who refused to bring plates if we ordered food from outside , guest have to go down and pick it up , lights were flickering all the time , one light was so dim , they don’t check before handing it over to the next guest

The front desk team were cooperative, swimming pool and spa were okay, room service were helpful.
I previously stayed here in July 2019 and again in 2020, but I was shocked by the poor experience this time. The food selection was limited, particularly when it came to fruits, and there was no fresh bread. Our bedroom window was damaged and left open, allowing insects to enter—we even had to call room service to remove a large praying mantis. On top of that, the room had a shade that completely blocked the outside view. Frankly, the entire hotel is in need of renovation.

The staff were not professional at all.. We've encountered multiple issues with their communication as they ignored all my messages on this app when it was urgent to communicate before the check-in, but ended up having my little daughter wait at the lobby for hours at midnight due to their lack of professionalism. I just wish the staff to be properly trained to at least check their official messages, because it is causing incredible amount of stress in addition to the usual stress that comes with traveling... I will never stay here again as I want to have a peace of mind when traveling...

Breakfast needs to improve. More options to be added and they need to change the menu on daily basis. Even continental options are not much for such a big brand hotel. Over all stay was comfortable.

Breakfast restaurant waitress was very rude. I asked one of them for a glass of water for the child, she rudely replied that I should get it by myself. I think she was the team head wearing a red tie. None of the waitresses ever smile to their customers which is a basic in hospitality industry. Though, they are happily giggling loudly among themselves while customers around, no professionalism. I had a long stay of 9 nights, was disappointed looking at their sad faces and unwelcoming attitude. However, reception staff were far better than the waitresses.

The lift buttons were not working, as a vegetarian there were no options and neither did the chef put in any effort for the same Th room were in need of maintenance with nails coming out and on request for change of trim there was no change done
