This property is undervalue from the photo. The actual property is very nice and clean. The cafeteria looks nicer in real life. They have free laundry service in the basement , if you don’t mind the wait.
Parking is limited (4 spots ). But given the location it is not hard to go on foot to most attractions. Now the front desk English is very limited. I asked about the parking situation and storing luggages and he replied giving me a page of instruction of how to take a taxi or shuttle bus to Inchon airport. ?. Until I start typing my broken Korean then he replied with something reasonable.

Of all the hotels I stayed in Japan and South Korea, this hotel was the one I would, without hesitation, stay again. In fact, I wish I could have stayed longer. The location was convenient to historical sites, great restaurants and shopping, but most of all, the staff were extremely attentive, going out of their way to make my trip comfortable. They helped with navigation, restaurant recommendations and provided great amenities. I am grateful for their service!

The room had heated floors, the bed was of the highest quality, firm and seemingly new; housekeeping was daily and we always returned to an immaculate place; comforters were generous in size, fluffy and warm.
The location is an oasis and almost a sanctuary to return to after a day of intense sightseeing inside palaces, temples, gardens, and of course restaurants, all over the city.
Kevin, the owner of the hotel, said he did not have a background in hotels but wanted to create rooms that felt peaceful and home-like. He accomplished his goal because I observed the room felt like a Zen meditation center (not because it was austere in any way but because of the calm it exuded).
We needed help booking high speed rail tickets on KTX from Seoul to Busan which we were unable to do from outside of the country. Kevin personally made the reservations as seats were selling fast due to a convention in Busan.
He asked “where are you coming from?” We said Iowa. “Iowa? I lived in Madison, Wisconsin for 8 years and did my undergraduate work there.” This was beyond coincidence as we had just moved to Iowa, after 8 years in Madison! He went on to tell us he completed a Master’s degree at Marquette in Milwaukee. So from the outset he went above and beyond insuring that our vacation would go as smoothly as possible; language was not a barrier!
He created a map curating both his favorite restaurants and cafes along with those that received recognition the Michelin guide.
This review is extravagantly enthusiastic and highly positive to convey the exceptional qualities; not an overstatement; we were genuinely impressed.
the sink was a bit low, but nothing we couldn't deal with.

The room had everything needed for a comfortable stay and the location was great for getting around to everything we wanted to see and do! The coffee bar was a huge perk after traveling across the pond —made it much easier to get through the initial sludge of jet leg.

A great location close to the action yet nice and quiet. The room size was large for a hotel room, and the laundry facilities were very handy. We either walked or caught the subway everywhere from here. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The beds were a bit firmer than we liked but pretty standard for Asian beds

Pleased with our stay. The room was both spacious and exceptionally clean, with great air conditioning. The bed was large and comfortable in our standard double room. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient, and it was a huge help that they spoke English
Located on a quiet side street. Just a 20-minute walk to the blue line 1 to Seoul Station
Appreciated the little extras like the free water, tea, and coffee. Also liked having a robe and bathroom amenities.

In a good spot to walk to local places, or a short walk for the bus or subway. Comfortable rooms and beds were softer than usual! Didn’t hear any noise from other guests, AC worked well, shower was nice (even without a curtain!), and free laundry was helpful.
It was a bit pricey for a standard hotel without breakfast, but the location was pretty central for a lot of activities so that’s probably why.

We stayed in the traditional room with one bed and one futon for a total of four people. The room had some traditional character which was nice. TV and wifi worked well. The best part of the room was the bathroom - spacious and modern. There is a cafe on the main level of the hotel. The doors to the hotel are locked after 10pm, but you can still enter with a key or password. Staff were helpful and lent us converters so we could charge our phones. Walking distance to Insadong neighborhood with lots of shops and charming character. We found the street to be alive even in the evening. Walking distance to Cheongyecheon stream - another nice evening activity. Walking distance to Gaeseong Mandu Koong, a bib gourmand traditional dumpling house and Cafe Onion, a really fun place for breakfast. 10 minutes to the closest Metro station. Great central location. Would stay again.
The futon was slightly too small for the two teens using it but it worked out okay. It would have been fine for smaller kids. Two futons would have been better.

We had a great stay at Rate Hotel Sunbee Insadong. The location is in an area with lots of restaurants and stores all in walking distance, and the metro station is close. All the staff were friendly, very helpful, and spoke English. There is a free laundry room, including laundry soap, which was a pleasant surprise. And for Asia, the room was very spacious and everything was modern and clean. There is free coffee in the morning downstairs, and a kettle and teabags in the room. If it's your first time to Korea, many coffee shops don't open until later in the day, so coffee downstairs makes life much easier.
I would stay here again; we were 100% happy.

Location is good with lots of restaurants nearby and free laundry. Cleaners cleaned the room at our requests.
No breakfast, the front desk didn’t want to make an effort to book a taxi for us because he said the distance from the hotel to our destination is too short (about 20 minutes ride) and we have 6 pieces of luggage which require a larger taxi. Also no shower curtain in the bathroom, so each time someone takes a shower, the whole bathroom was wet all over.

We loved the location, the room, and the staff at Hotel Sunbee. Mr Han was especially helpful to us on several occasions. He went above and beyond to help us get tickets on the KTX to Busan during a national holiday. The rooms were very comfy, clean, and had everything we needed. Mr Han even loaned us adapters when ours would not work. We enjoyed the deep, clean bath at night after walking thousands of steps each day. We were also just steps away from the main shopping street in Insadong. We were also close to Anguk and Jungo Station. Highly recommend!
We struggled with the air conditioner remote but Mr Han finally came to our room and fixed it for us.
