Everything was JUST not it. There is a peach tree on the property and the fallen fruit is squished by travellers and attracts fruit flies in the room. Had mosquitoes, too, I didn't see them anywhere else in Seoul. Single plie toilet paper, breakfast not worth it, amenities kinda useless... Everything was just MILDLY inconvenient but all together I disliked it. Like, no nightstand, towel bar directly behind where the shower is directed...

On a positive note, the hotel staff were really friendly and always ready to help when we needed it. But overall, I expected a lot more for the price we paid.
I honestly don’t get why this hotel has such great reviews. For me, it’s more of a 3 out of 5 stars situation. First off, the room was extremely small—there was barely enough space for my suitcase and luggage. The bathroom? Tiny! The shower isn’t separated, so everything gets soaked, which is super impractical. Plus, the walls are so thin that you can hear everything going on around you.
The furniture is in desperate need of an upgrade. It looks like it hasn’t been changed or painted in ages. As for breakfast, calling it that is a bit of a joke. It’s just two types of cereal, some bread, and a few sweet spreads, along with milk, coffee, and juice. After seeing that on the first day, we ended up buying our own stuff to make it more bearable.

This is my 2nd stay at the OYO M* 5 Lodge. The location is perfect. Two blocks from the metro and bus stops. Extremely easy to get around the city, museums, palaces, attractions, the Suwan Fort and other neighborhoods. Easy airport access thanks to the excellent pre arrival instructions the OYO M* 5 provides. Walking distance to many cafes and great restaurants. Rooms are a little small, clean and are a wet shower bathroom. Complimentary breakfast is coffee/tea/juice/cereal/toast. Good wifi, great staff excellent value for location.

I had a fantastic stay at this hostel! The location couldn’t be better — it’s right in the heart of the city, close to public transport, top attractions, and great cafes and restaurants. It made getting around super easy and saved me a lot of time.

The room is a bit on the smaller size but it was to be expected from the pictures. It fits just enough for one person for a cheap and convenient stay plus it offers a free breakfast (toasts, cereals, juice and coffee). This lodge was close to the subway and across from the busy touristic area of Myeongdong.
The bathroom was a bit small so it felt a bit damped especially since it was a bathroom/shower situation where the whole bathroom becomes the shower.

Self-Check in after 10:00pm was smooth. Location is great, walking distance to train station and Myeongdong Night Market, Restaurants and Shops. This hostel is affordable and fair for its value. Rooms were small but understandable, you're really there just to sleep and freshen up. Beds are really comfortable and hostel management was great in communicating through Booking.com Messenger. I'd stay here again. Thank you OYO 5!

Breakfast standard bread and jam, milk, coffee, tea, but the kitchen is comfortable makes you feel like home, staff are nice and fast response, overall our stay is good
The heater not working very well, we stay during winter so 2 out of 6 night we stay, our room was cold and freezing...but the staff help alot
