Good selection at buffet and very nice fb manager and all the chefs were nice . Lotsa variety of different cuisine only glitch was closes at 10 am sharp think timings could be extended .
Ms Amy from front office team who checked us in deserves to be promoted as she can communicate well with guest be proactive and offer options . English was very good and she is an assess to the hotel .
One of the bell boy outside was very friendly abd helpful and housekeeping lady was very kind . Overall good staff but maybe English communication should be better as could not understand few people .
Room service had no options for vegetarians and we had to request several times and meet fb team till they understood the whole concert of vegetarians and no egg no fish etc . Duty manger was bit rude once Mr Frank when we requested for food substitutes for egg options as if we trying for free and later they offered us a comp meal which we could not fit in due to departure .

Great breakfast and amenities (incl indoor swimming pool). Staff is helpful. Room is large and super confortable.
We were on the 3rd floor and the room had zero view which was disappointing.

JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Seoul is a lovely hotel and the staff are absolutely amazing - it is a lovely clean hotel and has everything that you need. Rooms are immaculate, we had a corner suite with wonderful views. House keeping staff kept the room immaculate and all the staff were extremely friendly. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice and we ate at the steak restaurant for one meal which was perfect. Probably one of the nicest hotels that we have stayed in.

Wish it had been closer to Myeong-dong although the property was right next to the subway and only a couple of stops would have liked to be able to walk

Pleasant
I like its location for its convenience to shopping malls around Dongdaemun.
It was our Anniversary stay and we were surprised with welcome gift and snacks, which made the stay still pleasant. The level of service for its staff has lived up to Marriott's standards.
I had an opportunity to stay in Le Meridian Myeongdong, also under the Marriott Group of Hotels during the earlier part of my S. Korea Trip..Hence, I was able to gauge the difference apart from these 2 hotels. JW Marriott is an established hotel and I suppose it has been in operations much earlier. Generally, it is an old hotel and the facilities were ok compared to other Marriott Group of hotels in other countries. They did room housekeeping and we came back only to realise we had 2 shampoos and 1 conditioner (missing body shower gel) halfway during our bath.
Another surprise came during our last night. Once we turned on the shower, the shower head was detached. It was faulty. The staff did a quick damage control by replacing the shower head.
Overall, having to stay in quite of few hotels by Marriott group of hotels, we didn't expect such incidents from happening. Was disappointed and hope our future stays will be a much better experience.
