The toilet cum bathroom is quite small. So, it might be a challenge for those who are not used to the size. You cannot expect all the comforts of a hotel room here because it is a hanok, of course. But experience-wise, I would highly recommend this place for the price.

It was an amazing experience! Suni is the kindest host I could have asked for. She and her family made me feel at home immediately and even prepared a delicious traditional New Year's breakfast. The Hanok is beautiful, the room was very warm and comfortable, and the location is convenient. If you want to experience real Korean hospitality, stay here. Thank you, Suni!

Suni and her son are exceptional hosts! He found me on my walk from the subway to the guesthouse, I wasn’t even expecting anyone to meet me.
My main reason for booking this was the fact that I wanted to stay in a Hanok. What I was not expecting a vegan breakfast made especially for me, it was so delicious and cute.
The guesthouse is located in a very lively area (not many vegan options close by but I found something).
Definitely highly recommended!

Our overall experience was excellent and it even exceeded our expectations. Suni is both a wonderful person and host. She went above and beyond her duties as our host. She accommodated all our needs with such great personal touch. She prepared breakfast for us like it was cooked by our own mother - you can see and taste the love and care she had for the people she was preparing the food for. We are giving her Hanok a well deserved 10+ points. And her services a 4 thumbs up - that’s 2 thumbs up from each of us! Suni thank you so much! This was our second time staying at Suni’s Guesthouse, and once again, it was an amazing experience. Suni and her family are absolutely wonderful hosts — some of the kindest and most helpful people we have ever met. We can’t thank them enough for all the care, support, and kindness they showed us during our stay.
From the moment we arrived, we felt like we had found a second home in Korea. We were truly treated like family.
The guesthouse is located in a lively student neighborhood where you can find everything you need — restaurants, cafes, shops, and a nearby subway station that makes it easy to get almost anywhere in Seoul quickly.
The rooms are spotlessly clean, very quiet (even though the area is lively), and feel extremely safe — the host locks them whenever guests leave. My friend and I are both light sleepers, but we didn’t hear a thing at night.
The traditional Korean breakfast was delicious and authentic, and Suni’s hospitality made every morning special.
If you have the chance to book a room at Suni’s, don’t miss it! We will definitely come back to South Korea, and when we do, we’ll stay at Suni’s Guesthouse again without hesitation. It truly is the best authentic stay in Seoul!

Magnificent stay!!!! Can't wait to return!!! Loved the idea of staying in an authentic Hanok and our fabulous hostess Suni made it all magical. We loved the cosy Hanok and the artistic and tasty breakfasts that were works of art! Location TOPS! - We felt so safe and at home in this lively neighborhood day and night! We were right next door to a top barbecue restaurant which we loved and went twice! The staff and locals helped us - it was simply superb! We were grateful for all the wonderful things Suni helped us accomplish giving so generously of her time and great ideas- helping us to visit the craft museum for an incredible show of embroidery, getting one of the best massages ever - we went to SPAREX twice! Don't miss the incredible masseurs and masseuses, the great massage chairs and the hot pools and the facials and a total scrub; loved the stunning folk museum in the palace gardens; the DMZ tour; the changing of the guards at both palaces, the nightly walks in our lively street with super shops and one night a folk opera with fantastic singers and glorious costumes. We loved the shops with everything under the sun and the vibrant vibe of the neighborhood! And the fabulous ice cream masterpieces at Sulbing - the Mango, Coconut, Grapefruit one was out of this world - went twice!!! Topped off our stay at a local dumpling restaurant - the best soup ever with all the embellishments -kimchee and more and with free delicious coffee the best! The taxis to get around were so very reasonable and they came so fast.... and I slept so soundly on the floor - surprised myself! I just can't rave highly enough. Super Suni made our 4 night stay in Seoul PERFECT! Book early! She and her hanok are in great demand!

The property is absolutely stunning! Wonderful to experience a traditional house. It is comfortable and all the necessary amenities are there. But what was best of all was Suni and her kind family. They were so wonderful and gracious, welcoming us warmly and introducing us to Seoul taking their time to give us recommendations. The breakfast they prepared for us every morning was wonderful as well, we are so grateful and truly recommend this stay. Plus the area it’s located in is FABULOUS. So charming, and lively without being overwhelming and super close to major transportation options.

This Hanok stay is hidden away in a somewhat busy college area but the Hanok is quiet. The family that runs it is really nice, makes delicious breakfasts, and keeps everything clean. Very accommodating too. The traditional sleeping mat bed was just fine too for sleeping.
This is on me but I thought this Hanok stay was more in the Insadong area. It will take maybe a few extra stops ok the subway to get to places but it’s not a bad location. The bathrooms were also separate from the room but that wasn’t a bad thing, just wanted to mention it.

Lovely homestay with the gorgeous Suni and her family. Very welcoming. Beautifully presented, tasty breakfasts. Easy enough connections to public transport to get anywhere in Seoul.
Smelly bathroom (presumably from the drain - definitely not due to a lack of cleanliness!) - not sure much can be done about that..we just acclimatized to it (and kept bathroom door closed)
