Very clean, spacious place. Everything needed was prepared. The host was very kind and helpful, even thought the Booking application made an error. The place exceeded my expectations by far. There is a functional kitchenette and a lovely balcony with a place for barbecue. Beautiful surroundings. We will surely come there again when visiting Gyeongju.

Poor
The swimming pool was the only saving grace of the whole stay.
The kids loved it and it was clean and well maintained.
Cabin unit that we rented was more like sleeping in a garden shed.
Generally grubby inside and out and well overdue for an upgrade.
Kitchen area was aged and lacking utensils and crockery.
Pots and pans were dirty and ready for chucking.
Floor, tables and surfaces were sticky.
Totally unsuitable for guests without a car who wish to visit Gyeonju on a reasonable budget.
A taxi into town cost us 15,000 krw each way.

Friendly and helpful owner, though not reply enquiries quick =), spacious and well-lit room, big washroom and strong shower
The owner did not turn on the main switch of the balcony lights upon our check-in
Please note the washing machine is not inside the room as listed in the room description, but the owner is willing to let us use the on-site ones, so not a big problem

It was nice to have a pool. Kitchen was quite well set-up. Good shower and bath.
Temperature control was difficult - to get the upstairs bedroom cool, downstairs had to be freezing and not enough bedding to deal with that. No extra blankets available. This would be much less of a problem if you aren’t traveling at the height of summer - there was a nice outdoor balcony but it was too hot out there due to the time of year.
Only four small hand towels given, no bath-size towels.
This was not the property’s fault but is a comment - you really need a car to stay here, there is very little accessible on foot.

We got a very warm welcome by our host.
The pension feels like a very nice American style roadside hotel. Not as cramped as other places. The rooms have a small kitchen, which is nice.
Slept really well.
The fridge was a bit noisy, so we turned it off. One of the curtains lets quite a bit of light through. Because it was off-season the outdoor pool was not in use.

Enormous apartment in a beautiful part of town. The owners were delightful, full of very helpful advice on the best places to visit, activities and restaurants. They gave us a free ride to the local bus stop, which made travelling around town convenient.
Minor point: you will need to take a taxi to access local transport to see all the main sites.

The fact that you can make your own barbecue and that the rooms are big.
Owner could speak English
Fridges were big and even had a freezer
They had knives and scissors and everything you need to eat
- Especially the pink room was dirty, bedding was not fresh in any room.
- Even the motel we stayed in after was cleaner and that's saying something
- No safety measures for small kids on the stairs (they could easily fall through)
- no protection from the sun outside on the playground, pool was not in use and much smaller than in the picture
- we were 6 adults plus two children and when asking a second time for more towels the response at first was "But you already asked for more towels" which even though they did bring us more towels in the end I thought was a little rude. We didn't see that there were two more towels each in the bathrooms. That being said the owner wasn't rude all the time, but he wasn't as friendly as the motel owners of the motel we stayed at after
- Only few dishes and two cups + two coffee cups per room
- the adults just showered, walked a little barefoot in their room and had black feet

Location was great, clean, comfortable beds (hard find in korea) had cooking options and stores are close. The owners are very attentive and the sweetest people. The breakfast was amazing; big American breakfast saved us a ton of money. We even bought some beautiful pottery the wife sells. I’d think staying here without a car would be difficult but it was an easy/quick drive to all the tourist sites. Owners gave us a sweet parting gift on our way out.
The bench/couch was hard. We had to use all of the extra blankets so it was better.
