It was a lovely stay! The host was incredibly kind and went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable and happy. He made excellent suggestions for how to enjoy the town. He even helped me connect with a taxi so that I could see a few more sights in the morning before heading to the KTX. Wonderful stay, would love to come back again some time!

Clean and really well placed location.
Our host was super sweet and gave us good informations to what to do around. We got a custom itinerary around the city.
It didn’t bother us but there is no sound isolation (paper walls). So if your are sensitive to noise you are warned.

Traditional Korean house with modern facilities to accommodate the needs of the guests. The hosts explained to us carefully what to visit in the region and how to get there. They also offered us a complimentary breakfast. Highly recommended.

Yettle hanok is a cozy traditional Korean guest house, run by a very friendly couple. Although there is no breakfast included, the host prepared for us some snack and fresh coffee every morning.

Our two-night stay in this traditional hanok in Gyeongju was truly memorable. Our host was kind and welcoming and he provided a detailed map of the city with all the main sights and offered recommendations for attractions in Gyeongju. Thanks to his guidance, we were able to make the most of our short visit.
The hanok itself is exactly as described on booking: clean, charming and full of character.
A particularly thoughtful touch was the breakfast he prepared for us, even though it wasn’t included in the booking. It was simple but very much appreciated, and it reflected the genuine hospitality that made this stay so special.
Highly recommended for anyone seeking an authentic and warm experience in Gyeongju.

It is nice but your quality of sleep will depend on noise from guests in other rooms. The location is great for on-foot exploration. We didn't appreciate owner being too pushy with checkout time.

An AMAZING experience. Staying in this traditional hanok(with modern bathroom amenities) just across the road from the central historic sites was a highlight of our time in Gyeongju. Not only was the property amazing but the host really made the experience. He spent time with us on arrival, and each morning, to suggest the best way to see his city and how to get around it. We felt most welcome in his hanok and truly loved staying in the traditional experience. This is a traditional house of wood and paper doors, so being quiet and respectful of other guests makes everyone's stay so much better!

We were excited to stay in a traditional hanok, but unfortunately, the experience did not meet our expectations.
While the facilities were perfect, the attitude of the male host made the overall environment very uncomfortable. As many previous reviews have mentioned, he tends to impose certain behaviors, insisting that “since many foreigners stay here, you must do this or that.” For reference, I am a foreigner who speaks fluent Korean. So, who exactly are these rules and behaviors for?
I simply wanted to enjoy a peaceful morning tea, but he kept rushing us to check out early. Later, when a local friend from Gyeongju briefly visited and asked to use the restroom, he rudely remarked, “Why are so many people coming in?”
If I return to Gyeongju, I would rather pay more for a place where I can at least feel comfortable and respected.

Great host explaining the home, what to see locally, speaks understandable English, very helpful and answers your questions. We received a surprise mini breakfast as there is not really a breakfast option available nearby. Nice cosy tea room, nice badro9m in a traditional home setting.

Location was outstanding. We could walk to all the sites in the main historical area. The house was very charming. The owner was helpful, he helped us with booking our cabs and he gave us some breakfast, even though it was not included in the room rate, because he knew there was nothing we could grab near the house.
While we appreciate the owner's helpful nature, we felt like we didn't have our privacy and felt very rushed the following morning . The owner was there very early and he kept trying to ensure we left by 9am. Maybe the intention was good but we were on a holiday and didn't want to be rushed but we ended up feeling a little stressed out.
