Very Good
Quiet and peaceful. Located on a remote island with a private beach.
Living area inside the woods. A lot of bugs and mosquitoes. This is part of the experience, but you need to come prepared.

I think that place is like heaven. I had everything i needed there. Everyday i woke up doing meditation and yoga (they have a schedule). Everyday sauna and ice bath during sunset, it was so beautiful and fun. And there is a lot of things to do there like qi gong, and kung fu, and more…
Giovanni is one of the best yoga and meditation instructors I have ever met. I am so glad I got to do yoga with him.
The restaurant is very good you have a lot of food to choose and everything is so tasty. They make everything there.
I really enjoyed it. I booked 2 nights and ended up being there for almost a week. If I could have stayed longer I would have (but unfortunately there was no room). Highly recommend!

It’s an amazing place, close to nature, healthy food, great programs like yoga, sauna and ice bath, plankton tour, always cool people around. We loved it as an open minded, nature loving couple, but I would say it’s not for everyone. Very chilled place.
The staffs are volunteers, so not everyone always knows what's going on.

Wonderful
The staff is very nice and very attentive. The food is really good and there are lots of options. The resort offers a variety of activities and equipment — we particularly enjoyed the sauna and ice bath and open gym area. Lots of room to lounge around in the sun or shade.
There were a lot of mosquitoes in our bathroom, but that’s to be expected in an open air bathroom.

This is one of the coolest places I have ever been in my life. If living a holistic lifestyle with art, music, fitness, yoga, super great and nutritious food, kayaks, paddleboards, snorkels, lots of chill spots, wonderful people, a sauna with a sunset view, a cold plunge, and more in the jungle right on the beach is your cup of tea, you'll love this place! It's hard to explain how incredible it is!

What a serene, wholesome and spiritually enriched place. It has everything you need for a spiritual getaway to recharge your energy. The staff are fantastic, very helpful and friendly, feels like a family full of big hearts. An array of things to do. Inc and not limited too: the art room, meditation walk, board games, pool table, table tennis and a music room. I got to try playing the hand pan which is something I always wanted to do. I stayed in the sea view mixed dorm. View is amazing, beach is beautiful and very empty. Beds in the dorm aren't super comfortable, but you get what you pay for and the view is worth it. This is really a bare basics place, with VERY limited WiFi and even limited electricy. This doesn't bother me. But it is worth noting, as long as you can cope without those 2 things at times, then this island experience will be worth it. I think Kactus is a wonderful place and I hope to visit again one day, thanks Kactus team for a great experience, one big love ?

Big thanks to Flo for tracking down my towel which I'd left in the taxi. dont know how she did it but I got it back that day .
accommodation could use some mid range options as there's either a quite cramped dorm or a beautiful but pricey bungalow

The environment was very calm and nice. The staff was kind and fun to talk to.
It was a great experience giving up the cell phone for a few days
Seaview dorms have “hole toilets” which was annoying at night when there was no power or water.
There wasn’t as much activities during the day than I though will be.

Fair
Positive things:
-good vibe by the lounge area
-nice activities like yoga, art room, volleyball
Negative things:
-expensive food, and you have to pay extra for everything like mayo for the fries, ice for ice latte
-no refill of soap and toiletpaper during the day
-long waiting time for food and drinks, waited 25min for af coffee
-wrong orders 9 out of 10 times, if you order a hot coffee you get icecoffee etc.
-half of the ingredients from the menu are not available so you have to change your order all the time
-cleaning of the place is not existing, bins are overfilled, tables at restaurant are not cleaned
-expensive accomodation for a very primitive, not well-maintained bungalow
-no staff at the reception, so if you want to ask for something you have to wait for hours before someone shows up
-beach is 5/10

Good
Location and beach at Kactus were beautiful. The day long jungle trek run by volunteer Sara was one of the highlights of our stay in Cambodia. We saw a rare snake, learned about the wildlife and plants and had the opportunity to snorkel in two beautiful remote beaches and jumping/swimming from Elephant rock. We had a family sea view bungalow. The design was beautiful with views to the sea and as it was open to the jungle we felt we got to experience the sights and sounds of nature on our doorstep. The staff and guests work really hard to keep the beach free of plastic litter that washes up. There was a really interesting mix of people and the vibe was very relaxed. Food was good. Staff were really kind. There were lots of options for activities in the day - yoga, mediation, a games and music room.
We appreciate the challenges in maintaining a steady and sustainable supply of water on the island, but we didn’t expect to be without water in our bungalow for at least 50% of our three day stay. The toilet was also out of action for 18 hours overnight because the sewage tank was full. We had to chase up a couple of times to get it dealt with despite assurances someone would come promptly. Bins, including toilet paper bins, were not emptied during our stay and there was a smelly open tank of water in the shower room. Despite the charm and beautiful location, we were disappointed with the bathroom facilities and cleanliness of our accommodation.

Poor
Very calm and relaxed place right by the beach. Lots of places to chill out and spend some very relaxing time with lots of activities to choose from.
I did get food poisoning while there, which can happen. I wasn’t happy with the way they dealt with it though and felt like they didn’t care about it at all. In general I thought the staff was not very welcoming. They just changed my sheets before the last night and took everything that was still laying on my bed. Including my meds for the food poisoning! Turned out they gave it to reception but that shouldn’t have happened in the first place and I didn’t know where they were at! Also the wifi didn’t work the last two days anymore and when I asked them they replied they need to buy new credit and also kind of rudely said well they don’t know when that is gonna happen.
Kind of sad cause the place itself is quite nice, lots of activities but the staff was just not what I expected

The accom was very nice
The bar system is not working as it should. Had the feeling my bill was waaay to high compared to my friend who was there with me (45% higher??) although i payed the accom in advance and he did not.
Had to wait for 60min+ for food at times and received wrong dishes multiple times (hence the high bill?)
The staff is very nice to and they try to do their best, but maybe their best is just not good enough.

Wonderful
This place is great for relaxing in Koh Ta Kiev. They managed to build a nice and comfortable hostel while still having the feeling of being away from civilization and close to nature.
Friendly and helpful staff, great food, and plenty of activities to do, both for free or paid tours.
The beach is beautiful and a great spot to watch the sunset everyday
Definitely recommend this place.
One time, we had to wait for 2 hours for our food and had to remind them 3 times, but perhaps it was just a one-time bad luck. Not a big deal.
