The rooms were nice and the view from our room was lovely. You get two fans so it won’t be too hot in the rooms. And the restaurant was amazing! We ate there all the time because it was so tasty! The staff is super lovely! We really loved this place, the community itself was great.
The bathroom was a little tiny, but we made it work. You have to flush with a bucket of water, but it works just fine.

We really enjoyed our stay at Bong’s - thanks for having us !
Room was perfect - x2 fans and extractor fan so room was a nice temperature throughout. Had everything we needed. Really nice shared balcony overlooking the pier & beach. Filtered water tap on same level as rooms to refill bottles if needed.
The staff were so friendly & helpful and were happy to answer any Qs and gave advice on trips/getting around the island. Added bonus that the food was 10/10 too. Thanks again!

Wow, what a place , honestly couldn’t write a review that does justice to this place . There is something so special about here and the sense of community in this little bay that I’ve not seen before. You will not regret staying here!!!

The owners were so so lovely, honestly the nicest people and always said hello in the morning and throughout the day even when they were busy in the restaurant. Great location right on the front, and when we checked in we were given lots of information and recommendations on what to do in M’Pai Bay. The food in the restaurant was great - recommend the quesadillas and brownie!! There was also a great area to chill upstairs with a lovely view over the pier.
There wasn’t any soundproofing in the rooms meaning you could hear people talking in the rooms next door, and doors slamming in the corridor. Fair few mosquitos around - bring a mosquito repelling plug in for the room if you can!

We had a wonderful stay at Bong’s, it was right on the beach and next to the pier the ferry comes in on. The rooms were simple but all of the accommodation in M’Pai bay is simple. Great shared balcony overlooking the beach. The restaurant serves absolutely delicious food, at a very reasonable price. The staff were all so friendly and happy to help.
Highly recommend staying in M’Pai Bay over the other areas on the island, it feels much more authentic and not taken over by resorts.
The walls are very thin so expect to hear noise from outside/other rooms. Most of the time it was quiet but some nice the Cambodians like to party on the beach! The mattress is in need of changing.

This place is amazing!!!! Right at the end of the pier so great location. The owners and staff are so lovely and always up for a chat - sharing local knowledge etc. The food is amazing western options so some home comforts. We pretty much only ate here as there aren’t too many options around. The room is small but has everything you need and we barely spent anytime in there.
The room is quite hot with only a fan but you’re on a fairly remote island so what can you expect!

We had the best time staying at Bong’s! Fabulous location right on the beach, clean facilities and the staff are all so lovely. The fans in the room kept us nice and cool during our stay and the bed was comfortable. We ate at the restaurant multiple times during our 2 night stay at Bong’s as the food and drinks are delicious and plan on coming back whilst we are here in M’Pai Bay. Free snorkelling gear, beach towels on request, beach mats and the team offer a lot of recommendations on the island which we appreciated! Overall a very enjoyable and comfortable stay, will definitely stay here again when back in M’Pai! ?

Fantastic location right on the beachfront and conveniently off the pier. Fantastic hospitality from Jake & the whole gang, always being on hand for any advice & questions (and even saving us from a kayak trip gone wrong.) Would recommend Bongs to anyone heading to M’Pai Bay!

The positives were the friendly staff and the convenient location right by the pier, which made it easy to get to without hauling luggage through the village.
The rooms are very small, which wasn’t a big issue, but they didn’t look as nice as the photos online—they’re definitely staged better for Booking site. The bathroom is tiny, with the toilet and shower in the same space, and you have to flush the toilet manually with a bucket. It had an unpleasant smell, and the overall cleanliness of the room was questionable. I’m not sure how well it’s cleaned before new guests arrive. The bed is very hard.

Stayed here for 6 nights and had an amazing time! The guesthouse is right on the beach. The staff are super friendly and the food was delicious. Basic room but has everything you need. The shared balcony was lovely! Great value for money.

Great lively place right on the beach practically attached to the pier for easy access. Great restaurant on the bottom floor in the reception where you can kick back have a few beers watching the sunset. Brenno the owner was cool to talk to and can provide good information on transportation on and off the island.
Nothing really. Rooms maybe a tad small but this really didn't bother me, especially considering what I was paying for the room. No disappointments! Stay here!

The second we arrived at the hostel it felt like coming home. All of the staff are exceptionally welcoming and friendly. Also the restaurant is just downstairs and all of the food is great. Plus you get 10% off everything. Also the location right on the beach in the middle of the village is awesome. One of my favorite places I've ever stayed.

The location of Bong’s is perfect and so glad we paid a little extra for the sea view room as was definitely worth it. The staff are who really make Bong’s Guesthouse stand out - they’re so attentive, friendly, kind and always up for a chat. We didn’t want to go anywhere else for our meals as we loved the atmosphere of Bong’s so much! The food was delicious too!
The rooms don’t have AC, which a lot of the properties on the island don’t either and is just something you have to get used to with island life!
