Property is beautiful and clean. Pool and private jacuzzis are big and clean. The staff are friendly, always trying to help.
They didnt provide pick-up from the airport, as there is a new airport being used. Also, there were a lot of construction workers around, not good for privacy. However, for both cases the staff offered us free drinks to compensate.

We had such a wonderfull stay!! The staff was so friendly. We had a upgrade to a bungalow with private jaccuzi. The food was great! We wish we could stay longer swimming pool surrounded with beautifull plants and flowers.

It felt like you were in the jungle. Its so beautiful with the Lotus garden area, where the spa is, was just beyond beautiful the food was amazing and the overall was exactly what you would want coming to cambodia it felt like you were in the jungle with luxury.
No long mirrors in the room.

Great place to stay for a visit to Siem Reap! Wonderful villas, great service, tasty breakfast.
The staff is doing everything so that you feel welcome there. I got a surprise birthday cake and song from the staff, even though I just briefly mentioned about it the day before. I also got upgraded to the better room due to the lack of customers at the hotel.
They also organize tuk-tuk for your arrival free of charge which is a nice touch and makes your first hour in Cambodia much easier.
If you really want to be picky, due to the lack of customers at the moment they don't serve buffet breakfast. However, for a short stay the choice is good and you can choose multiple items.
The other small nuance is their location. Though not far from the city center and pub street (you can even walk there in about 20 minutes), it's not very clearly marked and missing on the online maps, so might be tricky to get there with the tuk-tuk driver not associated with them.

The set up of the village, staff hospitality, cleanness and large swimming pool
Front entrance not being capable of easy access when flooded. Need ramp extended to raise waiting area and this are able to easily accept all vehicles. Lack of umbrellas in each room.
I struggle to see how this place is 5 stars. 4 star yes, not 5 stars

The staff makes it fantastic, very kind and does it best to make your stay unforgettable. Quiet location, nice garden and beautiful (huge) swimming pool. Challenge to choose your private pool or the common one! Menu and breakfast are tasteful, Khmer, Asian and western food.
Drinking water is not included (no bottles in the room excepted in the bar) what you expect for the price. Bottles are overpriced ($ 4,50 per big bottle, $ 0,50 in shops).

Beautiful pool by the dining area. Rustic setting.
We booked 4 nights at the Authentic Khmer Village resort advertised as a 5 stars hotel. It was also more expensive than a lot of other 5 stars hotels in siem reap. We mistakenly believed that the 5 star claim with a higher cost implied a higher lever of comfort. We booked a 2 bedroom villa with a private pool.
The resort outside is beautiful like the pictures but the villa smelled of mildew, the beds were extremely hard, the shower had no door or curtain and was very dim, without privacy. There were bugs, spiders,and mosquitoes inside the room as well. The room ceiling has cobwebs and mold/ water damage cracks. We were very concerned over the amount of mosquitos and bugs as it is known to be an area with endemic diseases carried by mosquitos.
The bridges and elevated walkways around the resort are not gated and many planks were cracked which is not safe for our young children.
We spoke to the manager asking for a cancelation of the next 3 nights and a refund, because the hotel was not a good fit for us both in terms of safety and comfort.
The manager said he checked with the owner, he would not refund us but offered to switch us to a different room. When we visited the other villa, there was the same problems of bugs and mildew smell... not the comfort we expected for the price we paid.
We stayed another night but again didn't feel safe or comfortable. So we decided to check out anyhow losing our money.
In the end we moved to the Park Hyatt and had a truly amazing five star experience for an actually lower nightly rate.
This is a fine hotel so long as you are expecting a camping cabin/bungalow type experience, not a resort, and there are many better hotels for less in the area.
It was a disappointment because we usually choose hotels which make a fusion of nature and luxury but this one failed.

Very private, rustic, very authentic, we received a free upgrade which was amazing. All staff were very helpful. Chanthy went the extra mile and always offered guidance and support. We have stayed in hotels all around the world and I have to say Chanthy is by far the best at providing quality customer service and amazing hospitality, he needs a pay rise !!!!!
Only thing I would say is the breakfast selection isnt the best.
