Great location out of Siem Reap and close to Angkor Wat. Sok helped me with my airport transfer, arranging the tuk tuk driver, recommending the best itinerary based on the amount of time I had, made me excellent coffee every day, and spoke English very well. Would stay again. Lovely family.

Mr. Sok Phen was super helpful and kind. The room was nice and big.
It is not located on a walking distance from the center but it is worth it ?

Sok Phen is adorable and very helpful, the house is independent with balcony and AC which is very appreciated in this heat. The place is a bit out of downtown which means that you have to necessarily take tuk tuk but Sok Phen arrange everything for you.
Maybe it would be great to put a small sign with a arrow to indicate where is it because we struggle to find it at night.

The homestay is in a cute neighborhood 10mins away from the city center, which makes it quiet and relaxing without traffic noise.
Sok Phen and his family and staff makes you feel very welcomed anytime, they looked after me and organized transport when I needed and were very helpful, warm and kind.
The bungalow was clean with a homely flair and very comfy big bed and a cosy porch, I didn’t miss anything.
Great value for the price and amazing always smiling staff, I would always book again!
I had no issues or dissatisfaction in any kind of way

I have already put in a good review but this review is because I booked another night. It is a lovely friendly place to stay with locals
It is not a hotel so do not expect those facilities but it is nice to stay in something that was local for a change and the family6 were cute and friendly. There resident tuk tuk man took me around for two days, for only 15$

Mr Sok Phen and his family welcome you with a warm heart. The Khmer house has everything you need in a rustic and green environment. By staying their you support them as well as the community as Mr Sok Phen goes out of is way to provide fair employment to villagers.
Their coffee and breakfast are outstanding! Location is perfect as well, close to the Ankor Wat and there are always tuk tuk drivers stand by.

Wonderful
The breakfast was very basic with just bread, egg and bananas but it was better than having to eat noodles. The boss was really hard worker and so friendly, I really loved his whole family. Like people say, it is NOT a five star hotel and just a hut on stilts but there was something so nice and relaxing about it. I sat out on the balcony amidst the lush trees and palms, just relaxed. I chose the place as on the map it seemed to be close to the temples. They had a tuk tuk driver working for them and he would hang around while you went shopping or he took me to all the temples all day for 15 dollars. He was a very sweet man, as were the owner, his wife and children.
What was annoying, (not their fault) was that I had to go across the city to the government buildings to buy a ticket to get into the temples which was 32 dollars for one day or 64 for two. I thought it was quite expensive. The room was very basic ie the shower was not too good but any faults seemed to be wiped away by the lovely vibe and quietness, that is until his neighbours were getting married and suddenly there was loud thumping music for two whole days until late. This ruined the quietness but it was not their fault.

Room was clean and spacious, the owner was very nice. The breakfasts were basic yet tasty.
The water pressure in the shower was quite weak. It was a bit noisy at night.

Phen is a great host. His homestay is a traditional hut. He lives close to it with his family. He is very kind and can help you for everything you need, such as reaching the city center or Angkor Wat by tuk tuk. He speaks a good English and you would like spending some time talking with him. It was a really authentic Cambodian experience

My family and I had such a great experience with Sok Phen and his family! They really made us feel like we were a part of the family. It was a great way to experience the hospitality and culture that Cambodia is known for. His wife prepared delicious meals when requested and a Tuktuk driver was arranged to take us anywhere we needed. Accommodations are basic but spacious and comfortable. Sok Phen happily shared his community with us and for that we are truly grateful!

If you’re looking for a luxurious hotel, this isn’t the place. But if you want to experience how locals actually live and eat, this homestay is perfect. The family is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making it feel like staying with relatives. They offer delicious home-cooked meals with very generous portions, giving you a genuine taste of local cuisine. The essentials, like the bed, towels, and bathroom, are clean and well-kept, making it a comfortable and authentic stay.

Sok Phen and his team were amazing hosts. From the day we arrived until the day we left we felt that they helped provide us with everything we needed. They planned our full Angkor experience and our driver Mr Lao was excellent. Sok Phen let us borrow his bikes for the day, his wife cooked us dinner brought to our room and they prepared us breakfast and coffee. We loved staying in the traditional Khmer accommodation and so close to the Angkor temples.

Mr Sokphen is an excellent and friendly host. He made our stay very welcoming. He picked us from the airport after request through the website for a fee. The location of the property is about 2 kilometers from town center. This was the only downside of the property but this was well compensated by the fact that Mr Sok Phen arranged the transport - sometimes tuk tuk and sometimes car for going to the town centre - sometimes for free. He also know well about the hotels that provide tasty food as well as being cheaper then the rest.
He was well informed about the area - information that we may not get if we stay in a big hotel. He arranged for guides as well to take us around.
The property was very quiet to take rest after a long day visiting the sites.
Overall we enjoyed the stay and will stay at the same property when we visit the place.

Mr Sok Penh and his staff were the epitome of hospitality! Living in the village was a chance to experience Siem Reap in a more relaxed and intimate way. Everything was effortless, and the meals provided were delicious. Mr Sok Penh even cooked us a barbeque dinner one night. I can highly recommend Sok Penh Homestay for an authentic experience of a beautiful and exotic destination. Thank you Mr Sok Penh!!!

Thank you so much for the breakfast every day, which was so rich, and the dinner every day, which surprised us, was so well served. If you like something a little more local to explore, you can come here. We love the way of life here and we're learning a lot.
