Beautiful property with kind and extremely helpful staff. The dinner and show were amazing.
Loud noise from floor above, though staff addressed it as best they could.
Take-away breakfast was missing items ordered.
Pool was too cold and had very few loungers, resulting in need for those staying on upper floors to sit on loungers on patios “belonging to” specific rooms on pool level

The ambiance of the hotel was lovely, serene. The staff made an attempt to be very helpful. They were very responsive. Also, the location was excellent and having transport to/from the airport, an hour away, was reasonably priced and a pleasant journey. The facials and massages were good.
To start, we had the incorrect configuration of our room. We were to have two full size beds, according to the pictures, but had to settle for a king and a single. The room was stocked for three people, so the staff had to scramble to make it right. The room was nice and clean, with some unique details that made it appealing at the start of our stay. However, within the first 24 hours, we noticed that architecturally, the space proved to be challenging. First, the shower/tub area was not set up well for taking a shower because the floor got all wet and just made it so you could not step out onto a bath mat without it getting wet. There were no other hooks anywhere other than the bath/tub area, which meant limited privacy to get dressed. You could only get dressed in the toilet area, which was a good size, but unnecessary since it only had a toilet and large garbage can that was ill placed. The sink area was too small to have too many things on top, but the shelving below the sink was not tall enough to fit toilet kits. There were no usable drawers for storage and no good places to store our suitcases.
The staff was very friendly, but when they were asked about some things, such as bringing bath mats or just refreshing the room, something was generally missing. The staff really seemed to be trying their best, but just their execution was subpar. I would not have categorized this hotel as 5 Star.
In addition, the breakfast had very limited options in comparison to other hotels we stayed at on this trip. The pool had separate showers for men and women, but no bathroom, which would have made sense for this area.
Overall, the stay was okay, but it felt like it was a startup hotel with startup challenges, needing to work through growing issues. Their expectations and execution were misaligned. I think this hotel has a lot of potential, but is just not there yet with meeting the bar of a 5-Star hotel.

The staff were very friendly, and the hotel itself is beautiful. I got a $15 credit at the spa, which I used to get a nice pedicure. Everyone was super attentive and welcoming. The facilities were nice and the breakfast options had a good variety. L

The staff were the most accommodating and thoughtful of anywhere I’ve been. The room was luxurious and comfortable, and so welcoming! The breakfast buffet was delicious and amazing. Honestly, I recommend it so highly and will definitely stay here the next time I’m back.

The breakfast was varied and delicious. The staff was very attentive and seemed like everything we could possibly want was there for the asking. The room was quiet and AC worked top notch. The bathroom was roomy and the sheets were a delight to sleep on. Couldn't have asked for a nicer stay. We did a travel package which was a modified version of what they were offering. Our guide spoke English and was very knowledgeable. Our Driver was charming and helpful. Felt like we were living the high life! Golden Temple Retreat is down a small street with other hotels and eateries (you can't go 50 feet without street food or a small eatery in Siem Reap). Tuk Tuks always available. Enjoyed our stay and Highly Recommended. Pool was delightful. I was able to do decent swim - whcih was a total bonus! The pool was cool and long-ish so I could do laps. Kids were there during the day time in weekend and that was cute. Family oriented, people oriented place.

The hotel was fantastic. The reception team was truly exceptional – warm, welcoming, and always helpful with every detail. They made me feel completely comfortable throughout my stay. The housekeeping staff were also wonderful, and the breakfast was excellent with kind and attentive service. Overall, the hotel team created a perfect atmosphere.
The scooter rental company recommended by the hotel was absolutely unacceptable. They were dishonest, charged unfair extra costs, and offered no proper insurance. I felt cheated and very badly treated by this company. While I know this is not directly the hotel’s fault, they recommended them, so guests should be warned. This company ruined part of my stay, and I strongly advise future guests not to use their service.

The staff was incredible. They took care of all of our needs and requests. The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfasts, as well as all the food at the restaurant, was great. The massages in the spa were very reasonable and excellent. The location was perfect for temple tours, but also for walking to Pub Street and other restaurants. This hotel is a slice of paradise. And the pool was great for cooling off after all the touring (along with an amazing happy hour). We highly recomend it!
