The pool, the long pier, the dining room, the garden lounge and the staff (esp. the dining room staff). Clean and well maintained property.
I knew that there was not a real beach, so it was fine. There is a small private area , but the water is murky and it is not a real beach.

I loved the vibe of the place. The rooms felt very well designed for comfort and luxury. Taking a walk around the property was such a joy as it looks so beautiful and well-maintained.
I wish the wi-fi extended all the way to the beachfront area of the resort, but I can see why that's not a priority of the property.

Gorgeous little bungalow type accommodations! Different to other places we stayed, we loved the outdoor bathroom. The breakfast was varied and so tasty, staff so friendly and we ate dinner both nights in the cool bar/dining area and both were lovely.

Excellent à la carte breakfast, plenty of choice even for a holiday of more than a week. Very clean and peaceful place, warm and welcoming customer service. The best hotel in Cambodia so far for us.

The property was lovely unfortunately we arrived on a day there was building works going on
it was extremely noisy, however when we contacted the manager saying we weren’t happy we were moved to a different room and the situation was dealt with very quickly and a free evening meal was offered.

The villa was very nice and comfortable set in a beautiful garden. Excellent and super friendly staff and service. The breakfast is a la carte and of high quality. The restaurant is the best of the area.
The only minor point is the seaside and beach area. Don't take the hotel when you are looking for the seaside holiday.

It’s a lovely property with very comfortable rooms and great staff.
For a solo traveller it wasn’t great. I was the only guest which felt a bit disconcerting at times. And there was no music or entertainment and as it was pretty remote maybe that would’ve been nice.

In my opinion Samanea is one of the best hotels in the world. It has everything you need and more! The staff is exceptional and the atmosphere is magical! You will - for sure - be relaxed and reloaded with energy after a stay there! We will return for sure! PS: Compared with other national hotels Samanea beats them by far :) Sorry

Very friendly and helpful staff and manager. Very beautiful and well maintained place. Good restaurant, breakfast is amazing, best I've had in Cambodia so far. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The pool is great too. We really enjoyed our five nights stay at Samanea, very relaxing. Would definitely go there again. Not perfect, but it's close to a 10 !
A bit pricey, as the beach is not as wonderful as the rest of the resort and that's too bad. Rocks in sand and a few garbages make it not that enjoyable for kids to play there and the sea itself is not very inviting. I suppose there is not much they can do about it though, and if you just want to have a walk there and enjoy the sunset it's fine. Also we tried the massage with my wife and while relaxing we thought it wasn't worth the price.

Everything about the Samanea Beach Resort & Spa was outstanding! What initially helped us choose this property was our contact with the manager, who assured us that the restaurant could cater for nut allergies. Jonathan and his staff are very attentive and we were excellently looked after during our stay. The restaurant has a very wide menu and the food is incredible! We loved it so much we even ordered takeout to take away with us when we checked out!
We also enjoyed the on-site spa treatment. The pool area is ideal and has a lovely large pool in comparison to many hotels in Cambodia. We enjoyed walking down to the private pier to watch the sunsets each evening.
The chalet/apartment was beautiful with very comfortable beds and sofa. The outdoor bathroom is a lovely feature and so spacious.
We had an amazing stay and look forward to returning on our next visit to Kep!
