Wonderful
Very relaxing space outside of the city, but an easy scooter or tuk tuk ride away. The pools were refreshing, the food was tasty (especially the quesadillas), and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. Relaxing by the river, experiencing the breeze, and even kitesurfing were all top experiences. Also nice having a large water jug at the bar that is always replenished.
The shower occasionally had super low water pressure to the point that a shower wasn’t really possible, but this was reconciled. The ping pong table could use new paddles :)

We absolutely loved our stay here. It was beautiful and relaxing with decent food, a couple of swimming pools and a game room. There was no reason to ever leave! The staff was extremely helpful. We rented kayaks one day and a scooter the next. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful
We had 4 days in Kampot. We had 2 days of city centre accommodation and 2 days at Villa Vedici - and we are very glad we made that decision to stay at Villa Vedici.
Very friendly and responsive & supportive staff. Staff made us aware of fishing boat noise about the 5pm and 5am, but really, that was actually our highlight.
The view was just amazing (we had the Suite with River View)!!!
Located not far from the town centre. There was always tuk tuk within a few minutes of booking on Grab - in fact it was fun to tuk tuk into town those 2 days.
It is located not far from the Green Cathedral either.
Huge 20L bottle spring water was very appreciated.
Food was reasonable quality. Drinks were good. Food & drink prices average/fair.
Room was spacey and clean.
It surprised us that the room was very backpacker-like. Very basic bed & luggage counter & wardrobe.
A bit of maintenance is required
- the shower head kept spinning and a bit of effort was required to get it to stay in place. I'm sure staff would have responded if we asked but we just wanted to relax.
- the pool had a bit of moss/green mould in the grout line (to be fair, I found this to be the case with my other city centre accommodation too). I think Kampot just doesn't do pools the way Siem Reap & Phnom Penh do.
The tall step into/out of the bathroom worried me (for increased risk of tumbling in the middle of the night) so I placed a chair just in front of the sliding door to remind ourself of the big step.
Any of the above a show stopper? No. Would I come back to Villa Vedici? Absolutely.

Very Poor
View
Room is old, look like staff quarter or barracks, aircon not cold enough, ordered food but waited 1 and half hour so I decided to cancel the order and went to town for lunch instead

Disappointing
The view and the the staff was friendly and helpful. They really flexible and kind.
The room was too tiny, the bed too small as well. I would recommend the owner to do some new renovations to make more spotless and worth the value. Everything of this place is great accept the room. However I still recommend you all to go and stay at this place.

Very Good
Good location, quiet and friendly atmosphere
The room smelled from the drainage in the bathroom. The key locks (room door and balcony) were a bit difficult to lock and felt it’s not safe enough (I know the place doesn’t have any stranger around but…).
But friendly nice place!

Poor
The food was decent for what/where it was.
Asked for early check-in and they couldn't do it. Fine. Showed up at 1:50pm for a 2pm check-in and of course the room wasn't ready. We asked when it would be ready, and we got several "give us 10 minutes", as we had a tour guide waiting for us for a 2:15 departure. Whoever was responsible for checking us in seemed totally unbothered/annoyed by all this, and the staff definitely weren't planning on hurrying. Fine.
Our room was in a VERY weird location, right by the pool, with a speaker pointed directly at it, where they played music til late. There was no shower to speak of, but some hose that ran into your bathroom drain, so you either need to rinse off in a sink like a French prostitute, flood your own bathroom, or not shower at all, so we didn't shower for 2 nights. One wall was repaired with some sort of metal wrapping that was partially loose and flapped in the A/C's breeze, which woke us up during the night several times until we ripped the paper off the wall. We complained the next morning and were upgraded to a 'better room' that was, in theory, 'better', though almost anything would have been better.
They also really (over)sell most of the rooms as 'river views' when not only does that seem untrue but, if you're actually on the property, you see how that isn't possible, given most of the buildings are specifically *not* of the river.
Was it the worst place I ever stayed? No. Would I ever recommend to someone, including an enemy? Never. The best part about it was the low price, because about 1 hour into the stay I said "We could get out of this, find something better, and not worry about a refund." So, I guess the low cost lowers the stakes. Buyer beware.

There are two pools, a lovely river view and friendly owners. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets soft. There is a bar and restaurant. It’s easy to get a Tuktuk quickly into town (about 5 minutes). It’s full of peace and tranquility!
It’s a bit outdated. The rooms need a good deep clean (especially for spider webs!). It would be good if they did a good clean on the cushions around the pool as well.

The location is amazing! View is awesome. But kind of lack of staff they have. Had to wait for too long for the help with my heavy bag. And over all service there is 3 out of 10.
Rooms need renovation! For 60$ a night in Asia… didn’t expect all the old stuff in and out of the room.

The staff was very accommodating in every aspect. The pool was clean and a comfortable temperature, although the slide was in need of some repair but we were able to give it a quick fix for my son to use it. The rest of the property was enjoyed by the whole party during our stay. They helped to arrange the delivery of motos for our run up Bokor Mtn and actually scolded the rental company, saying, "Can't you one time bring out bikes that don't need to be refused!". At the end of our stay we had several hours before the next connection and they kindly allowed us to enjoy the pool area and riverside gazebo while we waited and had lunch there.

The staff was super friendly and accommodating, pointing out that the family villa that we originally rented didn't have aircon, but they were able to easily switch us to another room, which was actually 2 separate units in the same building (1 up and 1 down) which worked for our group, a family of 4 and one adult couple. Each room had 2 large beds and a bathroom. Pool was really close with a slide for the kids and they had 2 trampolines that my kids thoroughly enjoyed.
As are most properties in more rural areas of Cambodia and southeast Asia, the quiet of nature also brings lots of ants and other bugs. The doors to our condo were not positioned well so there were gaps. The bathroom was decent, but there was not a separate shower, just a showerhead on the wall. But the temperature was fine, it got nice and hot.

Beautiful location on the river. It's a little bit out of town but not far and the tuk tuk's are quick to pick up!
The staff are very lovely and more than happy to talk with you while having a drink at the bar.
The grounds, pool and grounds are very nice and clean.
Great views over the river to Bokor Mountain.
Room was clean, but the bathroom in our room was a bit tired :(
When you take the key out of the room everything including AC and fridge turns off, so you can't keep anything chilled in the room.

Great pool, great location, nice chill vibe. Easy to rent a bike, good value for money.
Possibly more food options - not really a good place for a dinner, despite being beautiful and a potentially nice setting for one.
