They style of the hotel was nice - room was good - bed was comfortable
Only 1 person of the staff spoke English, the rest no. I was very unwell during my stay there and couldn't eat anything. I asked for plain toast (I got 4 slices in a day) when I asked for more they told me they ran out and had to wait till the following day - it was awful - i couldn't leave my room i was so unwell and no food. also no phone in the room so every time you need something you need to go all the way up and down (not great when you can barely move)

oversold in every way. Lacking in atmosphere, no bar, over-priced for what it offered and the extremely uncomfortable experience of the same person who checked me in and who - appeared to be - waiting up every night in the lobby, when I returned, including on my second night after 1am running after me trying to give me my laundry. Please. also - very disappointed to see plastic bottles of water in the rooms.

Very friendly stuff. The interieur has style, same as the building. The breakfast was delicious.
In my room I was annoyed by the noise of the water pump for the building. There was o hot water during my 2 days stay. Because of pchum ban hollyday the room was overpriced.

Wonderful
The Columns is a beautifully designed Boutique hotel in the centre of Kampot. Its location is close to many Cafes and restaurants and a two minutes walk from the Riverside. The staff is super-friendly with very good English knowledge. Breakfast was amazing and yummy. I can only recommend to stay in The Columns.

Wonderful
This was the second time I have stayed at The Columns with an 8 year break. Nothing much had changed, remaining a calm tranquil oasis. The staff were charming and they made our stay so personal and memorable. Breakfast was delicious.
Pillows were too big and full for me, would have liked a softer one. I stayed in a room with a balcony on the 2nd floor which was pretty hot on arrival and when returning after a day out.

The room was having a blind window (I could touch the toilet window of the neighbors) which for the price paid was unacceptable. The fact that for the price paid you ha e to pay extra money if you wont a non Khmer coffee was also unacceptable

Small window in a room. Really small! The only way to have a fresh air is an aircon. Noise from the street even when the window was closed(( it was impossible to have a rest during the night

The location is perfect - near the river and the bars and restaurants, but on a quiet street. We chose a room with a balcony which was perfect for sitting out on in the morning and evening. The staff were really lovely - as were the breakfast choices.
The balcony room was quite small with a little shower room and separate WC.
