This was such a lovely place to stay and we will recommend it to anyone visiting Kampot! The staff are lovely and look after you really well. The location is perfect for getting into town and kayaking around the river. The cat was also super cute!❤️ Thank you

Wonderful
Staying at Retro Kampot truly felt like living with family. The staff is so incredibly warm and welcoming. Every time I sat down to relax, they would bring over a fresh fruit bowl and a glass of water. The owner helped me out in so many ways during my stay. One of the absolute highlights was the free kayaks they offer for exploring the river. It is a beautiful, peaceful place and I cannot recommend it highly enough

Exactly what I wanted, out of town, quiet. Easy to get to town 15mim $2 or rent your own bike.
The food was amazing and I had a most meals here.
No aircon in room but more than enough fans I had 3 inside and 1 outside
The staff were amazing and extremely helpful. Thank you so much Monika !!!!!
I would have stayed an extra evening but the were fully booked

My favorite place I stayed for my whole trip in Southeast Asia. This place had exceptional service. The restaurant is excellent and the food and drinks were fantastic. Really nice rooms too and great options like free kayaking on the river!

Best stay ever. Lovely bungalow in the mangrove and very friendly and helpful staff.
Great food, lovely place to eat.
Beds are very comfy, we sleep good.
I highly recommend if you want to look for more nature stay !

So much delicious fruit. Nice bungalow right on top kayaking spot in kampot. Bungalow was clean and right in river. It was peaceful and hammock on the balcony was nice for a nap. The food was very tasty and staff was very polite. Free kayaks anytime. Water refill. I went on a tour offered by the property and it was a nice day out sightseeing. They even gave me some homemade ice cream on my last day.
Outside of town but that’s the whole point of this property

Monika and the girls are an absolute treasure, I have rarely seen such kindness and care in my life.
There is no sound insulation at all, you can hear and feel everything.
The shower was particularly disappointing, it would benefit from being a proper cabin rather than being positioned just a few centimetres from the toilet seat. I found it uncomfortable to leave the whole bathroom floor wet when it’s a shared one, and there was nothing to wipe the floor after we finish.

Great location by the river, including free kayak use. Cute rustic accommodation. Comfy lounge restaurant area to hangout. The staff were just incredible! so kind and thoughtful, bending over backwards to help. so many little touches that just made this guesthouse my one of the best of my experiences in Cambodia. I cannot recommend this place enough. I tried to extend my stay but they were booked - which is very understandable.

I loved staying here so much! The location by the river and the vibe of the hotel is incredibly peaceful, and it's a quick and cheap grab ride/ bike when you want to go into town. The rooms are clean, comfortable and cozy and the women that run the hotel are fantastic. They're amazing cooks as well, we ate dinner at the hotel twice! I miss this place already!

My friend & I stayed here for two nights as, after a month traveling, we wanted some peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle. That is what we got too. We stayed in our own 2 person hut with a little balcony that had comfortable seats and a hammock, ideal for relaxing; almost read my entire book! We went kayaking one day, following the Green Cathedral trail. The kayaks were provided free of charge by the accommodation. They brought us fresh fruit and cold water every time we appeared in the common area which was equally as colorful. Their hospitality was wholesome, welcoming and extremely helpful, especially when we needed to organize transport to our next destination. I cannot fault this place. I would strongly recommend a stay.

Wow, first I'd like to say that this place is really my kind of place.
It's extremely comfortable and relaxing.
The big open restaurant/common area is the best part of this guesthouse. It's lovely to eat there but also feels comfortable to read a book or chat with a friend.
The staff are so lovely, so attentive, they always brought us all a glass of water and some fresh homegrown mango to snack on.
The food was really tasty and well priced.
We rented a bungalow which was amazing. My parents, who were a little out of their comfort zone with this guesthouse, adored the bungalow and slept and felt amazing with fans and other amenities.
Our room was upstairs where we had acces to a lovely airy balcony for chilling or reading a book.
We also took advantage of the free kayaking which takes you along the little river beside the guesthouse. this was a fun experience although we only did it for a short while .
The staff were really lovely ? they gave us lots of mangoes and a pineapple from their garden to take home.
I really cannot fault this place EXCEPT(!!) the room we had, had an A/C and it was quite dirty ... It didn't smell bad thankfully but that's really the only thing I would say.
