Comfortable room. Great swimming pool. Daily yoga classes were a bonus.

Great location! Very clean (cleaning happening every day), comfortable beds with a lot of privacy. The pool is great, very spacious area. The area itself very chill and pleasant. The staff very friendly.
No hot water in the shower and the wifi was weak not reaching to the room properly.

My stay here was wonderful as usual. But now, they have a pool - which takes an already excellent hostel to another level. They also take cards now - and, with cash machines costing $4 a pop, this is an unbelievable upgrade.

Nice hostel, great to chill by the pool and know some new people.
The restaurant of the hostel is a bit pricey but worth it!
The room was nice expect it's quite noisy at night and gets really bright in the morning.

nice location, pool and charming environ
The facilities are a bit dingy, and could use a bit of sprucing up. I guess it's just bad luck that another person in the dorm would turn off the air-conditioner at night which made it a mosquito nightmare. It is also opposite one of those bird sound houses that blare it all night and depending on the specific room one might need earplugs.

Great location easily walkable with other businesses close by. Nice pool area. Beautiful courtyard with good wi-fi and electrical sockets nearby at every seating area for your devices. The clean dorm room with shared bathroom area is very clean.

Very Good
The 4-bed room was spacious, clean and had two showers. The staff was helpful and easy going. Overall, very comfortable stay. It was less busy than other hostels with more laid back atmosphere.
It felt a bit desolate in the evenings and the drinks were rather pricey. The parking space for scooters could be moved so that there is at least some access to enter the building.

I was in two different dorm rooms. The 6 bed was upstairs and had more sun and felt newer, cleaner
The 4 bedroom dorm was downstairs and there was black mould. Besides that everything else was good.
Really need to sort the mould as it’s toxic and you can get hospitalised from it. Please sort out the black mould in the 4 bedder.

Monkey Republic was the first place I ever stayed when I first visited Kampot back in 2017 and even though there are lots of amazing places to stay in town, I always end up back here.
It offers freat value for money, excellent food, great service, and its in a very convenient location in the centre of town, and from which everything is walking distance.
Better still, if you want to ride a motorbike, you can rent one from directly across the road and they have lots of parking space.
Their food and drinks are delicious so even if I don't stay here, I will pop in for something to eat and drink.
The staff is very helpful and make you feel welcome.
I've probably stayed in most of the dorms and they're all comfortable, regularly cleaned, and spacious.
Would be great if they took card payments, but few places in Kampot do

Whenever I’m in Kampot, this place is always at the top of my list. The superior suite is my go-to, comfortable and well set up. The staff are friendly and always helpful, and the restaurant food is top notch.

Amazing kitchen, hats off to a chef!!! I had to choose ac room, coz non ac one is without proper ventilation. But for 9$ it’s awesome, can’t complain. Very helpful staff, English spoken.

This was the coolest and best hostel I have stayed in. Everything about it I appreciated and the staff were so friendly and did an amazing job keeping things clean. They even take all the mattresses off and clean than as opposed to jist the sheets. The bathroom is always spotless. It was hella nice

I was moving from Siem Reap to Kampot and they found a way to store my things while I got a house. The service was great and the food delicious. Nice gardens and atmosphere.
What's not to like? Slight problems with the electricity but not their fault. It was fixed.
