We chose to stay here because of the excellent reviews, and it did not disappoint! Mr Leng was amazing! He was such a hospitable host who took time out of his day to show us around the island and the city. His wife's cooking was delicious, and the bungalows are absolutely perfect. We only had one night here and wish we could have stayed longer. It was absolute bliss while it lasted! If you're visiting Kampot, stay here! You won't regret it.

Wonderful
The hospitality of Mr. Leng and his wife is great. They really do everything to make you feel at home. No questions are to much. They offer a free tour, give advise about other tours and help with everything they can. Feels like staying with family.
The accomodation was very good. At first I was thinking I needed a room with aircon but it was good as it was. The fan was really ok.
Around the bungalows a lot of green. Chicken and cats of course. Like Asian lifestyle is in the country.
The Fish Island itself offers not a great deal of things, but in 1 minute you're across the bridge where the village life begins.
If I ever come back to Kampot I surely stay with Mr. Leng and his family. Thank you very much.
In town there is a military base and they blow the horn a few times a day. The wind brings the sound until the island and that can be a bother sometimes if you can't close your ears for that.

I booked to stay here due to all the previous good reviews and was not disappointed. Mr Leng and his family are so welcoming and kind. Nothing is too much trouble for them to make your stay amazing. Peaceful and a little gem of a place to stay. Definitely recommended

Mr and Mrs Leng are wonderful people who manage a wonderful set of bungalows. Nothing is too much trouble for them and even helped me with traditional khmer medicene when I busted my foot, which was better than any western medication! They are in a perfect location and provide a resident cat for each set of bungalows and the cats are fantastic!
Nothing to not like! Even busting my foot showed me how truly caring and helpful these people are!!!

It was my second stay here and my partner and I loved it! Mister Leng and his family are very lovely, hospitable and welcoming people. Mister Leng took us with his TukTuk on a free tour over Fish Island, introduced us to the locals, showed us the Wat around the corner from the hotelabsolutely great. The room was very clean, nice and a very good value for money. Many tours are offered at very reasonable prices, we rented the kayaks and went to the mangroves, so cool! We do recommend Fish Island Bungalows to everyone coming to Kampot. Do yourself a favour and stay with Family Leng! :)

Staff are helpful and the owner, Mr Leng, is so friendly. Beautiful place to stay on the fishing island! The central roundabout is a 25 minute walk away, or very short bike ride. But it is a nice walk along lots of bar boats and the river. Definitely worth staying here for a rural and homely place. Thank you.

Mr Leng was really nice, he brought us on a sunset tour on his tuk tuk to see the island.
The location is not far if you rent a scooter (only 5$ per day)
The rooms were clean, we upgraded to have a/c and no insects because on the bungalows there are big holes.
The price is a bit to high for low season

Mr Ley & family were fantastic hosts! Mr Ley took us on our tour of the village to see the sunset followed by dinner at his friends restaurant, it was a great experience.
Nice big room.
Rooftop bar had great views of the city & a great place to relax.
Breakfast was good.
Wi-Fi was very good.
Air con wasnt great & the bed was a little hard.
There are gaps in the bathroom walls so quite a few mosquitoes can get in, so make sure you have spray!

Fantastic property with a beautiful garden and a nice rooftop terrace to enjoy one or two beers (which you can buy at a shop across the street) at when sun is setting. It is not too far from the city centre, which can be easily reached via tuktuk. The owner is also very friendly and willing to help with all kinds of requests.

the hosts of this property really are superb. they go above and beyond to make sure their guests are assisted wherever they can. the bungalows themselves are lovely - you feel at one with nature and its very quiet at night. our hosts also let us check out much later as we were getting an overnight bus which was much appreciated.
for me personally the mattress is much too hard and I had trouble sleeping. the air con is also not very strong.
