My birthday trip stay at The Plaza Hotel was great. The check-in was seamless and quick. The receptionist Almazkhan (I hope I got his name correctly) greeted me happy birthday and provided me information on the breakfast area, gym and spa.
The place is clean and quiet. The location is strategically located — when you go out from the hotel: to the right is a 15-minute walk to Ala-Too Square, parks, museum, flag pole, Raritet bookshop, and restaurants; and to the left is a 5-minute walk to Globus grocery store, Kulikov cake shop and cafe, and the Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church.
The breakfast buffet has a sufficient selection. And the steamed indoor pool was relaxing.
I would also like to say a big thank you to the receptionist Tastan for helping me during my checkout to the airport to contact my guide/driver during the wee hours of the morning and making sure it’s resolved and I get to the airport on time and conveniently.
The Wi-Fi connection in the room I stayed in was not that strong, and I had to find the spot where the connection would remain ok.

The A/C wasn't cooling, and I ended up sleeping, opening the window

The room wasn't cleaned, or they made our bed. When asked, they asked us to stay in the waiting room for 10 minutes, and they would clean the room, which they were supposed to do when we were out!

I liked my spacious room and the comfortable lobby. The hotel location was close to the city center. Some staff were helpful.
Room cleaning was terrible. The first room I was assigned to was not cleaned yet. In the second room, an unfinished salad was left in the fridge. The cleaning woman who came to my room to take the salad away did not even apologize to me. These lazy cleaning women should be fired.

I think everything was great. I booked here for two consecutive years and was satisfied with all the services.
We arrived a bit late, and unfortunately, the hotel had sold our rooms to another group, which made me really angry. However, after our insistence, they eventually gave us some other rooms, but they were dirty. Because of that, they didn’t charge us for those rooms. Still, their action caused me a lot of stress.

Very nice stay in the center of Bishkek. Our room was very spacious, cozy and clean. The beds were quite comfortable, which is actually hard to find in Kyrgyzstan. We've stayed at countless hotels and most are very uncomfortable, but these beds were quite nice. The breakfast buffet was nice and had a good selection of food. Staff was also kind and helpful. Parking was also easy, right in front of the hotel. I would be happy to stay here again.
When we first arrived, they were having issues with electricity and were running off a generator, which wasn't really their fault. Because of this, the air conditioning wasn't the coldest in the room, but it was working some. Also, we didn't have hot water for showers at first. Later that evening the electricity came back to normal, so ultimately it wasn't a big problem. While the breakfast buffet was good, they had no espresso machine, which is pretty standard in all other hotels of this price range in Bishkek. Not a terrible inconvenience, but it was a little disappointing when other hotels of the same price or even cheaper offer espresso drinks. The pillows were on the hard side, not the most comfortable for me, but they weren't too bad. Overall, good stay.

The location was excellent. Walking distance to all the major downtown attractions. Beautiful interior, good breakfast, helpful staff.
The air conditioning in the room didn’t really work and it was very hot in the room. Also, the second day, the water didn’t get hot in the shower.

My room was not ready until 7AM... They overbooked the hotel but lied and said there was a flood.... a common lie used in the hotel industry to justify the room being unavailable when, in reality, it is not available because they overbooked the hotel to make more money.
All they gave me was a 10% dicount....
Check in should be 2PM... i couldnt checj in until 7am....so they owe me 15hours worth of money.
Pay me.

Cleaning staff should do their work. Finding the glasses neatly arranged, but not washed was super strange. Twice.
Everything is not functioning in the room: tv remote lacks batteries, fridge does not function. Shower should have been rescaled ages ago.
Breakfast food is very so so.
The worst is the safety issues: you can unlock random doors with your card, so can others - including your room.
