The receptionist staff were quite nice and the location wasn't too bad
The place just wasn't clean. Everything in the kitchen was so dirty I didn't want to use it. My room had a strange smell. There were young kids going up and down the corridors. And my room had a weird horrible smell. And the breakfast was in a pretty bad looking restaurant

Social, kind reception staff, nice outdoor space, air conditioning in dorm
Dirty kitchen not well maintained by guests, uncomfortable beds, storage space in female dorm was not ideal (I could not fully open the lockable drawer assigned to my bed because of its position against the wall).
Also, I had trouble purchasing a domestic flight to Osh online. There was a poster stating to email the manager for help booking flights to Osh- I even asked reception staff, who also told me to email the manager. Her response was “Sorry I can’t help” — why post the sign and have your staff direct me to do so if unwilling to assist?

A little out of the way but the bus stops right in front of the street. There’s also a big supermarket in front. The staff are incredibly helpful. The kitchen only has the necessities

Price includes breakfast. Privacy curtains in dorms. Clean sheets. Clean rooms. Great customer service in my opinion, plus plenty of tour options. A bit pricey for the type of traveler they cater though.
Common area, canteen and kitchen do not look like the pictures. Do not feel cozy, nor welcome to socialize. Kitchen is NOT well equipped, it’s too cramped & their refrigerator does not work. My food kept going bad.

We only stayed for 1 night in the private room, but the hostel was bustling, with lots of included tours/information/amenities! I feel like they've probably handled a million different scenarios and questions with the variety of travelers going through. They had an issue with hot water in the shower the day I arrived, and someone brought a huge bucket of hot water up to my room for an old school style shower - worked great! They wanted to do a small presentation about Kyrgyz culture the night I arrived as well, but nobody showed up so it was canceled...my one regret! Definitely take advantage of all of their offerings!

The breakfast was good, limited as in it’s not exactly going to fill you up but the yeasts was good. The rooms themselves were very clean and the AC was lovely. The location is good, there is a grocery store nearby and shopping. It’s near a main street so it’s easy to get rides.
The first night we had a bathroom connected which was nice to share (we paid extra for our own bathroom) but it made the whole room smell SO BAD. They also didn’t give us towels and when we asked for some they gave us crusty hand towels. Then our group emailed to ask about renting a vehicle to fit 6 which they said they had, they said to pay the deposit in cash on the day of. We went to do so then said the vehicle has been taken and it was our fault for not paying, when we have email proof that they said to pay in cash on that day. They tried to give us another vehicle that wouldn’t fit us and when asked where we were taking the vehicle they said “wow why would you go there”. We ended up waiting almost three hours for the car and still didn’t even get one! That was in contact with the managers sister and one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. Also important to note is one of the receptionists told me (it was late at night and I wasn’t going to walk to the grocery store that late) so went to buy chocolate (the only food they have besides breakfast which is 8-10am) and a water to which they don’t do card except for the actual room and they do USD but only if you pay with a twenty or higher and even if you do they don’t have change to give back to you. The chocolate and water was $4…. They wouldn’t let me buy it. I personally would stay somewhere else. They had people sleeping outside of the facility within the gate and had people sleeping in the common areas which was weird. They also operate in two buildings to which one of my friends stayed in the other facility and went to the grocery, when he back back he waited sooooo long before getting back in bc no one was at the reception desk to respond to the call button from a whole other building. He had to stand outside alone for over 20 minutes.

1st 2 nights I had a big room with shared bathroom and kitchen with one other room. That was great.
After I cane back from my trek, I had to go in a 12 person dorm. No thanks, too cramped and dirty for me. Big difference between the 2.

close to the Osh Bazaar
Due to the closing of the bus station - the neighborhood has declined with the creation of a dead zone
the cafeteria has gone down hill since it was also used by locals from the bus station
the pool was empty- it was drained before we got there and was being refilled which would take several days
I have stayed here probably 10 times in the past 6 years

Very sociable, operates lots of tours and events, awesome area with swimming pool and chairs and a little bar serving beer. Had a great time meeting people and socializing here, great for chilling out after a long trip.
The top bunks dont have curtains so light can be disturbing, I was given a towel the size of my hand to dry with, arguably too small. The social aspect may detract from your ability to get good sleep.

The staff seemed friendly and nice. The actual hostel building seemed clean and quiet with lots of activities and useful information.
We were not put in the hostel. We were taken to a family's home across the street. The family that lived there had young children. One of which was screaming as loud as they could, sounded like they were trying to mimic a dog for almost 2 hours. We booked the hostel to have a few hours sleep before a 2am flight but we did not get any sleep because of the screaming child and the family watching the TV loudly. It was extremely unprofessional. The actual hostel building was super quiet so we wished we had been put there since we booked there. Would not recommend it unless you know you get a room in the actual hostel.

We booked a double room, and were however offered a twin room. Regarding the location, it is close to a supermarket with all the amenities needed. It is somewhat far from the city center by walking distance (there are surely buses or taxis)
