Wonderful
This hotel was wonderful. The pools were always clean and the infinity pool at the end was beautiful. The staff & service were exceptional. They were accomodating and were very friendly. They decorated our suite with beautiful flowers for a birthday that was being celebrated. It was such a lovely surprise and there was a lot of effort put into it. The breakfast was always good with many options to choose from at the buffet. You could also order off the menu at any time.
We were dissappointed at all the seaweed that had accumulated on the beach. It didn't make it inviting to go down to the water. The only other disappointing factor was the pizza oven was not working and needed to be repaired. We had hoped that it would have been back up and running so we could have tried the pizza.

Disappointing
As it was low season it was quite dead and deserted! The beach area was quite dirty contrary to the photos on booking! There were no beach beds or umbrellas! Over all I wish we were informed that it was low season and everything would be closed including restaurants around watamu as well as majority of the excursions. I definitely don’t think it was worth the money

Seaweed covered the beach. Could have been the season or because it is a marine preserve. Other wise we had a great time.

High-end hotel with nice ambience, friendly staff, spacious and clean rooms and comfortable beds.
We stayed for 4 nights at Median Palms and we really had time to relax and recharge after the safari we did before.
We've been pleasantly surprised by at the checkin when they upgraded our room to a spacious villa.
Additionally, there is a a water sports center on the beach where our kids took wind-surfing lessons.
The breakfast could be more creative but overall it was good.
The service in the on-site restaurant in slow (as we have experienced in every place we dined out in Kenya)

Nice location, lovely rooms
A bit bland architecturally and pools were not interesting. No food or drinks allowed near pools. Restaurant allowed smoking, which was annoying even outside.

The gardens are superb and the pools excellent .
Rooms spacious but tired with a few things missing - no flannels and no bottled water which for the price I would have expected .

Breakfast and the room were poor and not what I expected for quite an expensive hotel ( over £220 per night)

Too many small pools and no big pool. No views from any of the restaurants and everywhere very dark and poorly lit. Cleaning staff gardeners security all lovely but others (waiters etc) seem to be waiting for tips

Beautiful, cosy hotel. Large rooms (more like apartments with fully furnished kitchens and living room). Pools were really nice, Flora and Fauna made the experience a little wilder.
Staff were amazing.
Check in was a little weird as the taxi had to wait till we checked in and then take us to our room. Hotel should really use their own transport to take us.
If we had known better we would have booked just one apartment which has 3 beds. We didnt know the structure/layout so we ended up spending double ish the money.
