We love staying in the Kiyosumi area, the parks and lack of crowds make the 10min walks to trains worth it.
The mattresses are really hard, so if they were a little more comfortable I’d rate a 10/10

Our river-view room had an exceptional window view of the bridge through the shower/bathtub room. It was clean, tidy, and had everything we needed. The location was beautiful, safe, and easy to get to public transportation, either the subway a few blocks away or the bus from the station directly across the river. The concierge was kind and happy to help us find a late-night open restaurant.
The breakfast soup at the cafe on the second floor was not very good, but coffee was delicious.

Wonderful
We had one of the larger rooms, so plenty of space to relax. An unique feature is the bathtub facing the window, which means you can soak and watch the Sumida river and Skytree. The room has also a table seating area with the same views. The rooms are really comfortable and we felt very cozy. Location is a bit off the beaten track and its a 10 min walk to the next subway, but on the upside you can go for a walk or run across the river with gorgeous views.

There’s nothing good about this property
Don’t get the room option with breakfast. They charge an extra 4000 yen while you can order it on sight for about 1650 yen. It’s a rip off since you don’t know what you’re paying for. The three meal options aren’t great either. Avoid eating here if you can.

The staff helped us locate our lost IPad and got it shipped back to the hotel for us all for free. They spent at least 30 minutes doing it too. Very excellent customer service and the location is great too

A drunk guest made a fuss in the dormitory room during my stay. and violated my privacy, but the staff solved the problem very quickly and offered all the help and concerns I needed.

Our room was clean and had an amazing view of the river! I highly recommend paying extra for the view. We were a family of 4 and had two bunk beds. The beds were functional and comfortable. We got pajamas and slippers. There was a little table and window shelf along with a sink in the room. I was not sure what "shared shower and bathroom" meant but it was just fine! The shower room is private when in use and we only shared the shower with one other room. This room had a shower and fresh towels. The shared toilet was always clean as well.

The view from my room was spectacular specifically at night. Location is good. Easy access to any transportation. Friendly personal. If I would travel again I would be happy to stay at the same place.

Not much communal space unless you eat in the restaurant/bar or sit in reception. The outdoor space is really nice but a bit chilly in winter.

The room overlooked the Sumida River which was beautiful, especially at night. Exceptional, courteous hosts. Shared bathroom which was right outside our door, exceptionally clean. A restaurant and bar is in the second floor. We will book the Lyuru again without hesitation.
The closest Metro Station is about a half mile away, we didn’t mind the walk however. Many restaurants and stores along this walk. A positive is the Tokyo City Air Terminal from Narita is just on tue other side of the River.

This is probably the nicest "hostel" I've stayed at. It was very quiet, I didn't see many people except for in the restaurant. I did notice lots of families. I didn't eat there, but it looked very nice. The terrace on the river was a lovely place to sit. The staff was very helpful, and I appreciated being able to order things to the front desk and have them held for me. I stayed here on the last 2 days of my trip and had prescription eye glasses shipped from Zoff and some items from JP Amazon delivered. All were waiting for me at check-in. This made my life so much easier.
Compared to the other beds I slept on during my trip, the mattresses were a bit stiff, and the pillows were not very good. My back/shoulders were stiff for a few days after.
