location is great, very close to Asakusa subway station, and a few minutes walking to senso-ji. Staff is very kind and helpful, and respond in time, the place is clean.

Very Good
The location was amazing, I could travel Tokyo conveniently because the Ginza line was 2 minutes away, also the Asakusa line is very close. I also liked that the Hostel was central in Asakusa but in a cute side street which was not too loud or crowded. The pods are very comfortable and more spacious than I know from other Pod Hostels. Also I was a little worried because of the bathroom, but I was almost always alone and never had to wait to shower. The Host also gave recommendations in the area and I made good use of it. Very helpful for the first night when I was a little lost, so I could just follow one of the recommendations.
I really missed a mirror (full body mirror). I never knew what I looked like because there was simply no mirror except one face mirror in the bathroom. Also please mind that if you sleep in a mixed room with men, the chances are very high that you will hear snoring, so make use of the free plugs :)!

Very Good
Very clean. Much better than expected. I was allowed to check in early, which was nice. Great little cubby hole "living room" with cozy seats and yoga/prayer space. Even offered drinks and my son had the breakfast, which he really liked. Our room was an unexpected pleasure, with a window that opened onto a deck with views of the river, bridges, and skyline. Would have liked to extend the stay but they were booked. I can see why.
The stairs were difficult to maneuver, especially with bags. If you're at all unsteady on your feet, it could be an issue. They're very narrow, with uneven hand rails. In the early hours of the morning when others started checking out, some were a bit noisier than they should have been, but kind of expected.

Everything was clean, quiet and comfortable. The living room area was great because it has a carpeted area for yoga/praying/stretching which we used a lot during our stay. Great value, and so close to the Asakusa line as well as a pretty view of the river right in front. Thank you so much for everything!
Nothing.

Wonderful
I had a great stay there. The staff is very friendly and helpful! The room was comfortable and spacious. The overall hostel is clean, there’s a lot of shower which is convenient to make sure a shower is available when you want to use it. There’s a possibility to have a breakfast for 500¥ I had it and it was good. There rooftop is very nice to enjoy.

The beds were SO comfortable, and the pod areas were bigger than I was expecting! The showers were excellent (perfect pressure), the common areas comfortable and welcoming, and the amenities just right. I loved the location and being able to look out on the Sumida river. Check in/out was super easy. My flight was actually delayed (twice) by about 8 hours, so I didn’t arrive until ~2am after my check in date, but HCT was so patient and understanding and sent me instructions to get into the building after hours. Then I simply had to complete check in when I woke. Thank you!! I will definitely try to book here if I am back in Tokyo in the future :)
It’s hard to find something, but if I had to, I might suggest some kind of optional lampshade for the lightbulb in the pod as it can be quite bright

Wonderful
Super value for such a good location. Though I did not use it, they have a nice shared area for travellers to chill and meet new people. Great view of Sumida River!
Though it didnt affect me, I can forsee it might be hard to sleep if someone in the rooms snores and you are a light sleeper. I slept quite well on their comfy beds so it doesnt bother me.

Absolutely loved our time here - its in our favorite neighborhood in Tokyo - Asakusa. SO close to Sumida River, you can go for a nice evening or morning walk there. We got the best restaurant suggestions from the owner! Clean, safe, and cozy public spaces to have a coffee, read magazines, do yoga, and the most gorgeous and private rooftop view of the river and tokyo tower and asahi flame.

Interesting people, it’s a small hostel but very well thought out with great stuff. It’s a more personal experience compared to other hostels, I met some great people while I stayed there.

The location! And the staff. And I also liked how small and cozy the hostel is. The location is perfect! Right next to the river, and by so many restaurants and tourist attractions. However, this hostel is on a quiets street over from the busy, bustling street of Akusa, so you actually don’t have to worry about any noise! And there’s also the rooftop that has a great view of the river and surrounding city. It’s both relaxing and beautiful to stare at.
The ceiling for the living room lounge is extremely short for a tall person such as myself. However, I also loved this area because there was also a large rug area that was designated as the meditation/yoga/prayer space. But whenever I would move into a Warrior 1 or 2 position, my head would be touching the ceiling lol. But it’s all good. You can still do a yoga session regardless.
