Excellent and friendly service, it felt like home. A comfortable library cafe available for use every day, complimentary tea and snacks, and the breakfast was amazing.
Rooms are small but we knew about it, so this was expected.

We booked 7 nights from 10th to 17th of November during our first stay however at the second stay starting from 22 of November at that time i think after 6-7 pm the senior receptionist (not the younger) was extremely rude and disrespectful after i ask for changing the room on third floor which is 301 , its window was blurred and there was large some sort of electrical line transformer right next to it which was risky and dangerous, however this man didn’t even looked at me , all he was doing talking to young one with serious and rude voice and expressions which in turn talked to me , he didn’t even want to understand what i was saying!!

it was a quiet spot which was a great escape from the busy-ness of the day! super close to tons of stations and both family mart + 711 was great!
it was great to get slippers included and I reused the same pair for a few days but it started to stick a bit painfully into my foot. aside from that this was super nit picky and I had a wonderful time here!

The breakfast was very good and abundant
We had to ask each evening for towels and slippers for the kids, as the cleaning staff didn't leave them. We didn't have this issue at a hotel from the same network in Kyoto.

We really liked how quiet it was and how clean the rooms were! The staff also was so kind! We loved the late night snacks as well as drinks at the bar
It was a 5-10 minute walk to certain train stops.

The hotel breakfast items changed every day with lots of traditional Japanese items and soups. There's curry every day and mackerel. The western items are pretty much the same every day with a pancake machine and various pastries. There's also a smoothie they make fresh every day. Free umbrella to borrow so we did not have to purchase any.
No iced tea besides during breakfast time, but there's coffee all day.

The reception staff is very good, especially the lady wearing the sign of "English speaking" (forgot her name) when we arrived in the very early morning on the 28th Sept. (leving our luggage in the hotel) She's excellent, very helpful to give us travel guidance etc. She's off until the day we check-out.
Breakfast is excellent, quite a lot of healthy food & very delicious. It is very good to have food menu changed daily so not having the same food everyday.
The hotel is reachable by foot to nearby famous tourist points. Even going to Ueno, just 30 minutes walk.
We do enjoy staying in Comfort Hotel ERA Tokyo Higashi Kanda, room is very comfortable.
When we return to the hotel around 2:25 p.m to do the check-in. The hotel do not allow us to check-in and claim that the room has not finished cleaning. We were then asked to do check-in at 3 p.m. sharp. for the staff to take copy of our passport etc. (all this could be done at the time when we were returned to the hotel at 2:25 pm, not waiting for 3:00 sharp to do all this paper work). We were then allocated to a room that we do not accept and were able to change a better one for us.
Frankly speak, all this action would destroy the good impression of the hotel. It would be better to allow us to do early check-in if available. Not stick to the 3 p.m. sharp. It needs to be flexible on this, letting us to check-in early would only giving guests good impression/feel comfortable and no lost to the hotel. I don't know why most of the local Japanese hotels having such strict rule. So unpleasant feeling.
As we would not be in the hotel duirng the tea time, it would be great to reserve the snack food for us to enjoy on our return.
The cons part is that it needs to have some 10 minutes walking distace to the subway stations.
