Location was outstanding - quiet and peaceful. Staff were very friendly and spoke English. They checked us in in our room with a welcome tea and sweets which I thought was a nice touch rather than at Reception. Food was exceptional as was the service - we had the Kaiseki dinner. Outdoor private onsen was wonderful. Room was very open and comfortable.

Included breakfast and dinner was fantastic. The open bar was even better but it is first come for served!
There were a few water bugs in our bathroom, but the staff were really helpful in removing them

The most romantic hotel we've ever stayed in. I loved everything. It was in the middle of nowhere but being secluded like that adds to the romance, it's definitely worth the splurge for a night or two, especially when you get your own private onsen in your room.
The beds were very Japanese style so be prepared for that.

This place is one of the most amazing places I’ve ever stayed. I found this place completely by chance. Absolutely phenomenal staff, great amenities, amazing rooms, wonderful facilities! I can not say enough amazing things about this place. Even though my Japanese is extremely limited they had staff who could speak English or used a translator to make communicating easy.

Quiet, clean, exceptional staff. The concierge we had spoke excellent English which made our stay super easy. Other staff used translator apps to tell us important information. We would highly recommend it.

Pro- limited rooms, so don’t usually see too many other customers in the common areas including onsen. Housekeeping attentive and willing to use translation devices to ensure clear communication.
A/C is not too strong, during the daytime in the summer it may be a little warm.

Great location, beautiful onsen, spacious rooms, wonderful service. Had a delicious Kaiseki dinner one night during our stay. Right next to a nice commercial complex with interesting shops and restaurants too. Onsen was relaxing and well-kept. Staff were very thoughtful as well.

Very relaxing and great value for money when you consider included food and drinks. Staff were amazing, going above and beyond to communicate through the language barrier, will definitely recommend to friends.
Difficult to get to and the buses and taxies book up fast. Be sure to arrange transport weeks in advance, don’t rely on PT, we rode a full buss out, that turned away dozens of people, next one wasn’t for another hour.
