Breakfast was great, a discovery for Japanese breakfast items. Our favorite ice cream flavor- Yuzu!! We loved the onsen experience! And we loved being provided yukata and haori to round up the Japanese onsen experience.

The buffet dinner and breakfast are wonderful with a large variety of food. Staff are refilling the food in a very timely manner. The public hot bath is big enough to accommodate a lot of people and no need to wait. Most staff are helpful. The public areas are very well decorated.
I cannot book the free shuttle bus to and from Sapporo station. I asked 2 times in the app but there was no response. I then asked a friend who knows Japanese to call them and check and found that the bus was full. I had to book a car and drive there by myself.

Exceptional
The meals were amazing as was the onsen. If travelling by public transport the bus stop is only 50 metres away. Comfortable rooms and a well appointed gift shop. They kindly assisted us to forward our luggage by post as it was cheaper than using Yamato.

The hotel information on the english language wasn't accurate and wasn't the same as the japanese version. I missed the breakfast 15 minutes late because of this. When I told the staff about the information in the English version and asked for something to eat, they said they thrown it all away already.

first time visiting sapporo with my parents. they loved everything about this hotel including the breakfast and dinner.
the only thing that i felt a bit inconvenient was the neighborhood. not that I wasn’t aware, but this is a onsen village and it might be boring for people looking for entertainment or good restaurants

The river view from hotel room and onsen quality are both really good.
Hotel restaurant staff and hotel shop staff were rude, impolite and unprofessional. They were unwilling to offer help and spoke rudely to customers. This is not the quality I expect from staff at this hotel and brand.

Old style Lobby, very old room but clean, only centralised aircondition; can't adjust temperature, only heater while outside cold, can choose only on or off. Not good taste both dinner and breakfast buffet, queuing so slow.

Impressive breakfast buffet. Nice foot bath on back terrace.
Their onsen is Not tattoo friendly. However a mile out of town is a tattoo friendly onsen at Hoheikyo Hot Spring, accessible by public bus.
