Everything, except the counter staff, was excellent ! - Onsens are good. Food is above expectation. And we like the fact that the lobby lounge offers after drinks and snacks which we can chill after our dinner. Ambience at the lounge is good. Room size is big. Futons beds are still being made, which we truly appreciate.
Only that the counter staff were either not proficient in english or they were kind of "bothered" if we were to make an enquiry. And it's not just one time. We had a feeling either they were "over-worked" or stressed or hotel was under-staff.

The public bathroom is clean. Great outdoor onsen. Outdoor Jacuzzi onsen is exceptional good. Tatami inside the guestroom is comfortable. Many choices for facial or hair beauty / cleansing sets are available inside the bathroom. Location is also fine.
Too many hot stoves for keeping the food warm during dinner. 4 stoves (for soup/sukiyaki/rice) altogether were placed on the table. It became too hot and stuffy for dinner.

The hotel was very spacious, within Jozankei it’s got a fantastic location because it’s right next to the bus stops that takes you to Sapporo as well as Koukusai Ski Resort which was the purpose of our visit. It’s got fantastic dinners. The lobby has a music area that offers free drinks for you to relax, and free manju as well!

Perfect stay. The onsens were amazing, the meal was delicious and the room and amenities were perfect. I have never felt more relaxed and would come back in a heartbeat.
The free shuttle to and from Hanamomiji is very convenient; however if the shuttle is already full (and it fills up very quickly!), getting back to the city is a long a crowded ride if you decide to take the bus back.

This is my second time staying at hanamomiji. This is the BEST place to relax and recharge! Love the onsen and food and playing ping pong at the hotel. There are also a few spots to walk around the hotel so you're not spending the entire day indoors.

Beautiful and peaceful onsen hotel. It's on the older side though some levels are being renovated, still very comfortable.
Food is an absolute highlight, superb ingredients prepared expertly. Onsen facilities are fantastic. Wonderful and relaxing stay.

Delicious kaiseki dinner and big buffet breakfast with everything you need. Onsens were all terrific
Older building with some hallways etc showing some signs of wear (though the room was very clean).

We booked a japanese style room that was very spacious and provided yukatas. The public baths were very relaxing and breakfast was amazing. Location is great as well, short walk to the temple and the bridge. Was the highlight of our Hokkaido trip!
The dinner was not bad but probably wouldn't order again.

This hotel is hands down the best onsen hotel we have been with great value. The hotel is just opposite of the bus pickup/drop off area so its convenient access the hotel. Breakfast and dinner provided were fantastic. The hotel room were really spacious and clean beyond our expectation. Yukata were provided and my kid looks cute in them. We enjoyed alot at the public bath and there is also massage chair just outside the public bath. We also went to the night bar and the staffs there were really helpful. This hotel provided us the best Japanese traditional onsen experience we could possibly imagine. We totally enjoyed our time there.

This is a good value hotel. We can enjoy Onsen in 2-3 difference locations. The hotel can connect to the next hotel which has another Onsen and restuarant.
I reserve the hotel dinner for our son, 6 years old kid. But, they didn't provide the kid meal. The Dinner are the same as adult meal, except the drink. They should notice the kid and ask us for kid meal, when we check-in. I'm not sure, how do we reserve the kid meal for dinner.

The staff were really helpful. They were very understanding of my need for a private bath as i have arm tattoos, and were responsive in helping my secure a private room.
The room we stayed in was massive, and the breakfast was really delicious! The amenities provided like the toiletries were great.
The kaiseki dinner could have been a lot better. Was disappointed in the quality of the food. It was also in a dining room, and not served in the room like i thought.
