Beautiful building, Rooms were quite and clean.
Very expensive bar. Location was ok but still a 900m walk to the train station, farther to the bullet train.

Great central location.
Very helpful staff. Solved many issues.
Clean, good design, big room (helas no view).
Nice onsen facility.
Only 3 public laundry machines, allways busy. Could use 7-8 machines.
Policy of cleaning once every 2 days not satisfactory. We accidentally switched on the little red sign that says do not disturb... Bery small. Ended up with 3 days pf not cleaning...
Otherwise great place.

Excellent hotel with professional and friendly staff, great amenities, and comfortable rooms. The staff were always helpful and accommodating. The luggage forwarding assistance was especially beneficial and made our trip so much easier. Overall, a wonderful stay and highly recommended!

This hotel feels like it's higher than 4 stars, firstly the room was very spacious and comfortable, secondly we left our luggage for keeping as we arrived too early and the staff carried it to our room before we came back for check-in, thridly breakfast was delicious and with many options you don't otherwise see in a 4 star hotel. It's one of the best stays i've had.

Excellent Location near the river and very close to the main shopping street. Many train station exits near by.
Good Breakfast. Clean and modern rooms with everything you need for a few nights stay. Staff were all lovely.
Had our bags sent through to Tokyo and everything went smoothly and they were waiting at the next hotel for us.

location is just nice, surrounded by quiet area. when we had our night walk to another side, we found there is very happening and thankful our hotel is located at another side which is just nice for us to rest. Breakfast in hotel is a must, nice food and nice service by the staff

Beautiful hotel in a great location next to the river, sanjo station and plenty of restaurants/shopping. The room was clean, beds were comfy, the dimmable lighting was perfect. I really liked the bathroom layout.
The pillows weren’t for me. One was the Japanese style beads, the other was a super soft feather pillow that ended up flat after a night’s sleep.

Great location, outstanding breakfast buffet, nice rooms. Also loved using the onsen downstairs.

The Solaria in Kyoto had modern amenities but traditional Japanese touches in the decor that made it clear that you were in Japan. I loved it!
The public bath was a terrific and relaxing way to experience Japanese culture as well.
Also, I would recommend eating the hotel breakfast. It is a buffet with many traditional Japanese dishes, and was excellent.
I would have liked to have more washing machines available.

The room is very up to date and even though it was a basement room it was a very nice room with view on a small garden. The location is perfect and visiting the castles etc. is easy with public transport. It also has a parking garage but beware of the maximum height of 1.55m of the car or it will not fit the car lift!
Nothing! There are not many hotels I have visited that do not have things that could be improved. I was impressed by this hotel! Next time I will look Solaria hotels and be happy to pay a bit more.

Conveniently located, friendly service, and efficient, comfortable amenities.
Maybe a little more flexible regarding check-in time. Not the hotel’s fault, but we arrived in Kyoto around 8 in the morning but couldn’t check in till almost 3.
