Alex was exceptional. The central location could not be beat. The room was gorgeous and quiet. I am really sensitive to noise and could not hear any disturbances or other guests.

We absolutely loved the service, our room and the people at this hotel. It was a highlight of our honeymoon and they treated us so kindly! We will reminisce on our stay here for years to come - the bath soak sachets were a true sensory highlight, too.
The bakery next door is also spectacular!
The location is very walkable to the market but it can take time to get to some of the temples in Kyoto.

Room was spacious and well appointed. Enjoyed the large round tub in the bath. Treated so well by Alex the manager and Mamiko who tended the bar. Breakfast was wonderful.

This hotel is delightful and the staff, particularly Alex, are incredibly attentive. They went out of their way to find reservations for us at restaurants when they were hard to come by and accommodated each and every request we had. The hotel is also quite central and easy to reach from the metro. The breakfasts brought to your room are also among the finest we've had.
We arrived during a torrential downpour and thunderstorm which made initially locating the hotel a challenge but that is no fault of the hotel's.

The staff was very friendly and helpful!! The room was absolutely beautiful and clean and the bar was well stocked. I would definitely recommend it. A bonus it was next to such an amazing bakery.

Decent location a few block off the subway line on a quiet street. Around the corner from a busy Starbucks that was open late which was a nice option. We took bullet train in from Tokyo - transferred to subway in Kyoto and hotel was easy to find. We were early so dropped off bags and went off. Hotel staff very friendly and knowledgeable especially Alex S. who gave us the lay of the land and made great recommendations. Breakfast every morning was nice. Room was very spacious and well appointed and very clean.
