We had a wonderful stay at this hotel during our honeymoon! The room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable, and it met all our expectations. The location was also excellent, as the hotel is conveniently situated not far from the train station. Having a 7-Eleven nearby was an added bonus, making it easy to grab anything we needed during our stay. One of our favourite features was the beautiful rooftop, which was such a lovely place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. We also really appreciated the thoughtful gesture of receiving a small bottle of wine for our honeymoon. It was such a sweet surprise and made our stay feel even more special. Overall, we had a lovely experience and truly enjoyed our time at the hotel. Thank you for your warm hospitality and for helping make our honeymoon even more memorable. We would happily recommend this hotel to others.
Overall, the property met my expectations, and we had a lovely stay. The only area that could be improved is the television in the room that we were staying in. It seemed quite outdated, and unfortunately, we were unable to connect to Netflix or any other streaming service. We understand that the hotel offers Japanese TV channels, which is perfectly understandable, but as international tourists who do not speak Japanese, we would have appreciated having more entertainment options in a language we could understand. Having a smart TV with access to streaming platforms or a few international channels would make the stay even more enjoyable, especially for guests who like to relax in their room after a day of exploring. This small improvement would make an already lovely stay even better.

Beautiful property. Felt like a villa in the lobby/restaurant/common area. Room was clean, bathroom was good size, shower pressure was excellent, staff was helpful, each room having it's own balcony was nice. Location was perfect as it is a 5 min walk to Kyoto Station and there is a convenient store next door.
More space in the room to place luggage would've been nice. But as a solo traveler it was fine.

We had a great stay here. The location is super convenient—literally a 5-minute walk from the train station, and you are surrounded by lots of restaurants. The hotel itself is very clean, and the room was spacious and well-equipped. Breakfast was perfect every morning. A huge thank you to the staff, who were so polite and helpful. Will definitely stay here again!
My only regret is that we stayed at this hotel for only two nights. I would have liked to stay longer.

Sakura Terrace The Gallery is about 5 minutes walk from Kyoto Station, which is the perfect location for daytrips outside of Kyoto as well as exploring Kyoto itself. We stayed for the 3rd time at the hotel and the reason being is, location, clean, good price, nice amenities (free coffee and tea bar) , free laundry facilities, common space downstairs in case you need to get some work done, onsen, comfortable beds. This was the first time we experienced the breakfast and it certainly is part of my top 3 of hotel buffets, lots of non-asian food choices as well such as smoothies, eggs, french toast, bread and much more. Last but not least their restaurant serves some great food for dinner at very reasonable prices! If we are coming back to Kyoto this is where we will stay!

Location was ideal, rooms were good, open space, starter drinks nice, open architecture, cooling fans, close to the station, not very expensive, staff was helpful and cordial with answering questions, they could speak english too (that is helpful) .
Breakfast could be improved - more options for vegetarian (ask the people staying for more than 1 day); have a live cooking counter for people with eggs to make an omelette in front and fresh, toaster for toast (need to be kept)

Spacious, clean, and comfortable. The covered outdoor area was lovely for relaxing, the staff were kind, and the daily welcome drinks were a nice touch. As someone with celiac disease, I found the breakfast buffet had limited gluten-free options, although that’s fairly common. We also couldn’t use the public baths because of the no-tattoo policy, which we hadn’t realized applied at hotels as well. Thankfully, the massage chairs were an unexpected godsend after so much walking! The location near Kyoto Station was perfect, and we really appreciated the complimentary umbrellas.

Wonderful common areas indoor and out that we fully enjoyed along with complimentary beverages each night. Very nice onsen experience as the women’s area had a “salt cleanse” in the sauna. Our family had a nice dinner, appetizers and thoroughly appreciated the complimentary juices, waters and coffee in the lobby. Also, so convenient to explore the area! Highly recommend.
A pillow selection would have been nice as they were too hard for our liking

I really enjoyed the complimentary welcome drinks and the live music in the evening. The open-air lobby had a great atmosphere, and the breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide variety of options. It was also very convenient being so close to Kyoto Station.

Everything. The common area is spectacular. Tea and coffee and water always available. Free drink each night is so welcoming. Live music each night. Free washer and dryers. Great unseen. Massage chairs. Restaurant has great food and reasonably priced. So close to Kyoto station. Easy to do day trips. Staff was amazing!!!
The hotel room is a bit austere. I booked a room with a terrace, but it’s an inside terrace. The location is a bit awkward to get to gion. I walked, took a bus, took the subway. All a bit off.

The location was perfect! The station is a quick walk down the street with many convenience stores and shops along the way. There were many amenities available and the room was quite spacious. The bath and saunas do not allow tattoos, so be sure to keep this in mind if that is an important factor in your stay!
