Wonderful
Excellent location. Very clean and the room was not too small. All in all very pleasant and comfortable.
Slightly difficult to get the right room temperature, had to keep on switching the aircon heater on and off.

Location is great! Breakfast is large and accommodating every need. Rooms are comfortable and spacious for Japan standards. Public bath in the hotel! So nice.
You can’t eat snacks in the lobby.

Great stay at Mitsui Garden. Lovely facilities, and nice staff.
We stayed during a 3 day holiday weekend and it was super crowded. The onsen was packed during night time.

Very clean! Spacious room which we liked! Very modern Japanese style. We also used the kettle they provided us. We also used the laundry downstairs. Our stay was great and very comfortable

Convenient location. Good bus and train connections to many tourist places. Nijo Castle is a comfortable walk away. I would stay there again.

Very clean rooms. The public bath was very nice.
The staff was just "normal". I dealt with about four different people during the day and two of them. I would say we're kind of cold. Not rude and not bad but definitely not on the friendly side like I've experienced at other hotels in Japan.

The “onsen” was nice. Although it was only an indoor bath, it was well maintained. Soap, shampoo, conditioner, face wash, cleanser and hair dryer are provided.
Also you can find razor and toothbrush next to the counter.
Everything was good. Don’t forget to turn on the AX though as my room was a bit chilly.

The breakfast was very good with a lot of choices. The food was fresh.
We had a very unfortunate incident with the staff. We paid to have our bags delivered to our hotel in Osaka. But on the day we checked out-several staff members stopped us and said we owed them 300 Yen —and we must pay it. That’s less than $2 USD!!. We asked why we had to pay it.. because, despite the ridiculously small sum — we had already paid our bill and were on our way to the train station. The staff admitted they made a mistake— but “ we had to pay. “ We refused and the staff wouldn’t let the matter rest. We couldn’t believe they could be so petty — and it soured our experience. The staff even called our next hotel in Osaka .. in essence.. tracking us down! But The Imperial Palace in Osaka listened to our story and agreed with us that the previous hotel made a mistake with billing and that was not our fault. I guess they convinced the Mitsui Garden that the matter was not worth pursuing and it disappeared. But not before it left a negative impression on us.

My friend and I were visiting from Canada and we were pleasantly surprised to find that we were given a free upgrade from our original Double Room booking. The room was spacious and clean, which allowed for a very comfortable stay. The area we were in was quiet, yet close to Shijo-dori street which had a lot of shops along it. There was a FamilyMart right down the street, as well as a very cute coffee shop (Goodman Roaster Kyoto).

Good location, cleanliness, nice public bath.
Check-in process is a bit slow, even if they asked us to prepare pre-check-in QR code to avoid the queue, still a long line for accessing the machines.

Good looking place. Comfortable beds. Good shower.
Only 2 washer/dryers for the entire hotel. Good luck getting laundry done. Also the breakfast was a sham sold out by 8:30am and you need a ticket to enter. They have better breakfast at the Marriott hotels in the states. Laughable

The bathhouse is amazing. After a long day of hiking is exactly what is needed.
Food buffet is also great!
I would prefer that room service would give an option of room temperature water bottle instead ones in a fridge. Traveling in winter, warm/mild water would be a win ?
