Getting around from the hotel was relatively easy and not a bad area of Kyoto to locate for short stay. Room was smallish no view but met what we needed.

Well located and connected to metro. Many restaurants close by. Great diverse breakfast. Close to Nishiki market. Well connected with metro and busses. The public bath was very pleasant and quiet between 5 and 6 am.

Staff was friendly and helpful. They helped us call a taxi because it was raining. The hotel facilities and lobby are really clean and beautiful. We arrived about 2 hours ahead of check-in, but our room was already ready so they let us check in early! I also appreciated that they always called the elevator for us when we started walking toward the elevator. It's a small thing that made our lives easier because waiting for an elevator took forever at the last hotel we stayed at. I emailed them that it was my sister's birthday and they said happy birthday to her at check-in, which was very thoughtful.
Bathroom was dirty, smelled bad, and had black mold. I also notified them a week ahead of check-in that it was my sister's birthday and they said they would leave a note in the room, but only gave us the note at checkout which was after her birthday.

It’s really well located.
Among the 4 hotels we stayed in Japan this was the least spacious and had the darkest room. The hotel staff was also ok. The bathroom was very small. The facilities were ok but not the best. The hotel is definitely above average and comes recommended especially due to its location but should be regarded in the price/performance category.

Good value for money. The hotel is nice. The staff is very bad, zero service, no one speaks English. Very soz check in. I ordered food and they didn’t told me the delivery was there so they threw it away. They don’t have client / hotel service. They don’t care about your experience it’s very automatised.
The service was bad, the staff weren’t helpuf for anything. Very cold vibe and zero effort to make you feel good. They threw my food away without letting me know my delivery was arrived. Feels like Robot

A very good size of the rooms, clean, always felt welcome. The public bath were a very nice touch after a day walking around Kyoto.

This lovely hotel is wonderfully located in Kyoto - I walked pretty much everywhere that I wanted to go from here - and the staff were just lovely. Some real highlights are the laundry room that you can use, the ice machine, and vending machines. The room was comfortable, and I really appreciated being able to borrow both the phone charger that was in the room, and a plug adapter which was available at the front desk. Breakfast was a particular highlight, including lots of healthy protein and veg options. Coffee was exceptional! A real gem of a place.
