The property is at an amazing area, with right access to Lake Biwa. Hotel is well maintained and provide shuttle service to and from the station making it convenient for the travelers with luggage specifically. Our view from 22nd floor was spectacular. The hotel is also few meters away from supermarket allowing to grab quick snacks and bytes if required.
Overall, 10/10
Nothing as such. It was all fine, and beyond our expectation.

Disappointing
The view of Lake Biwa from our room was fabulous. The selection on the dinner buffet was excellent. However, the dining seating was crowded and not private. We appreciated the flower that the hotel left in our room for our anniversary.
We only stayed ONE night for our anniversary, and the a/c temperature was intolerable. The thermostat allowed us to change the temperature to 67 degrees Fahrenheit, but the actual temperature felt like 77 degrees. We were sweating throughout the night. Didn't appreciate how the hotel charges for ice, which was located in a hard to access area.

Wonderful
The view was very beautiful and the size of the room decent.
The shuttle bus stop was too far away from the property since we had a lot of luggage.

The view of the lake from my 21st-floor room was beautiful and romantic. Breakfast was available on three different floors, which was super convenient.
The outdoor swimming pool is no longer open for use, and visitors are not allowed to enter or view the area.

Room view of Lake Biwa from 32 floor was spectacular. Loved seeing Mt. Hiei morning and evening. Room had windows in all rooms providing lake and city views. Even from the bathroom!

Very Good
There was a full moon across the Lake Biwa so the view from our high floor room was wonderful.
There was no room service meals available, only breakfast.
Not enough staff. I had to bring down all my luggages myself upon departing.

Great views! The Breakfast Buffet was great. I enjoyed the food and drink in the upstairs lounge. The shuttle to and from the Otsu train station was very convenient.
There isn't much around the property in terms of places to eat. The French inspired restaurant on the top floor seemed to only have set menus - I didn't see any a la carte options. What I could see of the pool looked nice, but it closes right on September 1st, no matter the weather.

Wonderful
It offers amazing lake view and comfortable rooms.
The EV chargers are slow and expensive (¥500 per hour for 6kwh - which is ¥2500 for a measly 30kw of charge, for example). I wish (1) it would be provided to EV users to charge overnight free for hotel guests so they can continue on their journey worry-free, or (2) have rapid fast chargers so guests wouldn’t need to search around the city.

We had a great stay at Lake Biwa Otsu Prince Hotel on our way to Hiroshima. It’s a large hotel with spacious rooms and beautiful views of the lake. The room size exceeded our expectations, offering plenty of space to relax after a day of travel.
Breakfast was excellent, with a wide selection to choose from. We also appreciated the convenience of free parking, which made things very easy as we were traveling by car.
There was nothing we disliked during our stay. Everything was smooth and comfortable.
Tip for future guests: have dinner at the German restaurant Wurzburg, just a short walk from the hotel and right by the lake. It was a lovely spot to unwind in the evening.
Highly recommended for a relaxing stopover or as a base to explore the Lake Biwa area.

Amazing view of Lake Biwa! Exceptional hospitality. My second stay at this hotel! Discovered Sakamoto Cable to Enryakuji Temple (World Heritage Site). Fantastic experience!
Decor is bit dated but did not subtract from the experience!

The hotel room is super clean and spacious. The bed is very comfortable. I just wanted to stay in my room, it was that nice. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
I am not a big fan of this location. It is kinda a ghost town after dark and nothing much to eat besides at the hotel restaurants, which do not have a many vegetarian options; I did not find any. Lake Biwa walk is nice but pollution sometimes messes up the look. I would have a had a better time staying in Kyoto and making a day trip to here.
