Traditional style, position near some of the best shrine and points of interest.
Hosts are the best in town! Ready to help you in every moment, at the check in they prepared for us a map for a pleasant walk in the best historical places.
Nothing wrong with the stay. Thats what Ive looked for, the perfect ryokan experience!

Great location with a wonderful staff. Second time I go there and its always a pleasure.
The only bad point is with overtourism the surrodings get really crowded during the day. Also you cant put your luggage in the bus anymore so you need to either use a taxi or the local train and walk to get there.

The house was in real old Japanese style, our room was big and spacious and the beds were really comfortable. Eimi and Hiro were very thoughtful and really made us feel at home! The area is beautiful, just five minutes walking from the kiyomizu-dera temple. Definitely recommend staying!

This place has a great location, close to everything you want to see around gion, you just have to make a little walk and you're everywhere, if you want to avoid people at any attractions, wake up early walk for a while and go back to sleep before waking up for real, is a very nice place and traditional, the owner is nice and helpful and seems that he enjoys helping guests out, they also give you fruit which is a very nice gesture, there is a time limit for check in though, take that into consideration or talk to the owner before hand, we lost a train and then the bus was late already in kyoto so when we arrived it was past those hours, but we talk to the manager and help us out since we didn't knew about the extra charge for late check in which personally have never experienced before, although I understand since they live in there and people go to rest early in this zone at least (and almost any other smaller city and town in Japan) there is a small fridge and microwave but not a kitchen, but you can go eat at a living room.
It has the door open so if you go on summer the wholeplace except for the rooms (with AC) is warm

The staff is very friendly and helpful even though language barrier, shes one of the best owner we ever met. Will definitely come back and stay there if we back to Japan

The property is conveniently situated in close proximity to many prominent temples and tourist areas. The location made it easy to come back for a quiet, midday nap before heading out again. There's that, but what I appreciated the most were the property owners, they're are terrific people--- I wanted them to adopt me. They are amazing hosts!

The Inn is less than 10mins walk to attractions nearby like Kiyomizu Dera. Host Hero san is super friendly, provided us maps & guide to wander around Kyoto. The room is equipped with traditional tatami bedding, with reasonable space for luggages. Bathroom & toilets are shared. We have no issue with that. Hero san also helped us to connect to taxi upon checking out. Highly recommended.
There's a stairs to access to the Inn, host is helpful to help us carry our luggages up the stairs when we checked out.
