Clean and spacious room with a small garden. In a calm area but close to a bus station so you could get anywhere you want, there is a coin laundry facility very close by too which is nice. Staff also forwarded our luggage to Tokyo.

The room was exceptionally clean and spacious! The front desk staff were super friendly and helpful and even helped us call a restaurant to place an order since we didn't speak Japanese. We had our luggage shipped from Tokyo and they received our luggage before we checked in and had it in our rooms when we arrived. So convenient!
There is plenty of great food in the area, however, this hotel is a bit of a walk from the main tourist center (about 20 minutes). Keep this in mind when planning your stay!

Our room was very clean, comfortable and good sized. The street was quiet at night. We appreciated having a washing machine to keep up with laundry. Buses and trains were easily accessible from this location to get around the city. We were very happy staying at this property.

The room is well facilitated with everything we need. The owner and her staff were very nice and helpful. When we checked out and needed a taxi, but it was rainning and no taxi came. The staff has run to the main street in the rain to catch a taxi for us. He was very supportive and we were so grateful for that. Would definitely recommend this place. It’s valued for money and also quite close to the main attractions and Kyoto station/buses

The room was incredibly spacious with a balcony, which I enjoyed. It was located in a nice neighborhood with lots of cafes and restaraunts nearby to visit. It was only a short walk to a bus stop or a train station, which was incredibly convenient for going places. The staff was also incredibly nice and accommodating, they even let us check in early!

Cute and spacious room with a private garden and comfy bed. They let me check in several out early!
Too easy to hear your neighbors. If you’re on the first floor you can hear people walking upstairs, using the elevator, and walking through the lobby. Limited amenities and an early check out (10 am). Not close to any train/subway stations. I wouldn’t stay here again for what I’m looking for.

Me and my friends decided to book this hotel for our First visit to Kyoto. The hotel was in a very nice neighborhood and we really enjoyed the location. The staff was very welcoming and they even helped us finding good restaurants nearby.
The room was large enough for the there of us and very quiet.

It was the perfect mix of traditional feel with some western amenities! The room was a great size for two people and loved how centrally located we were. 20 minute walk from Kyoto Startion. Just over 20 minute walk to Gion and other stations were 10 minutes to be able to hop on the train and see other highlights of Kyoto! The staff were very friendly and I appreciated that they allowed us to store our luggage there upon check out for a few hours so we could do a little more sight seeing before heading to Tokyo!

The little garden attached to my room was awesome. My advice is to take the ground floor rooms that have a tiny garden.
Suggestion to add a bottle of mineral water in the fridge.
