The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. They made me feel like I was at home. The rooms were very clean and felt like a traditional Japanese home. We loved this hotel so much that we extended our stay by two more days. The rooms are spacious, unlike many other hotels. We would definitely stay here again!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ World-Class Hospitality! Our stay at Gozan Apartments Kyoto was nothing short of exceptional. The location is perfect, the apartments are beautifully maintained, and every member of the team was incredibly warm, professional, and genuinely caring. What truly sets this property apart is the outstanding level of service. During our stay, my mother unexpectedly ran out of urgently needed medication. Irene, who was on duty, immediately took charge of the situation. Within four minutes, she had contacted us with a plan, arranged an appointment with a doctor at a local clinic, called a taxi that arrived in under ten minutes, and secured the appointment within twenty minutes. From the moment we realised there was a problem to having the medication in hand took less than 45 minutes. The efficiency, compassion, and professionalism shown by Irene and the team were simply mind-blowing. In what could have been a very stressful situation, they made us feel completely supported and cared for. This is true world-class hospitality. Gozan Apartments Kyoto doesn't just provide excellent accommodation; they genuinely care about their guests. We cannot thank Irene and the entire team enough for making our stay so memorable. Without hesitation, I would recommend Gozan Apartments Kyoto to anyone visiting Kyoto. We will absolutely be back!

One of the best apartments I’ve stayed in Kyoto so far. It’s clean, newish, friendly hospitality from the workers, my fav part is the bathroom rain head shower lol. Comfy beds, even a washing machine/dryer combo for your laundry. Free coffee and water in the lobby area. Location is very good, heaps of cafes, restaurants, e-bike rentals, konbini’s etc, within walking distance. Definitely be back soon !

The location is great. The hotel is exceptionally modern and clean. There is a very efficient kitchen at the entrance hall and then a sitting area (extremely efficient spacing) and then the beds. The bathrooms and toilets have the Japanese-style options which is always nice.
The only complaints are that it was a bit pricey because we were there during cherry blossom season and that the shades in the windows did not allow enough sun to enter the room (they were the sliding kind where half the window is always covered).

Has a Kyoto feel i.e. not so modern you feel detached from character of city, yet still clean and functional with microwave and washing machine which was really handy as we were travelling light. Room was very spacious and felt like a palace after small Tokyo hotel rooms. We didn't do breakfast, though there is coffee available as there are plenty of places nearby to try. The location is superb, very close to Sanjo station which is good way to get to Fushima Inari shrine nice and early. All the main other attractions are walkable from here, especially the Gion district.

It was a fairly good location. The coffee and water in the lobby was a nice offering. Staff were very kind.
We paid a lot for this hotel and it was a bit run down. The heat was not working well- and there are no individual room controls, so they gave us a portable heater. The linens were a bit rough. They gave us extra pillows and were trying to be very helpful.

Incredible staff who were so kind. Cleaning was prompt and great quality. Rooms were spacious for the area and the bathroom was incredible. The staff went above and beyond and after we left, notified us that we forgot our AirPods. Since we were already in Tokyo, they offered to ship them to our next hotel! We will definitely be back.

Our stay at this hotel exceeded all expectations—it was truly wonderful, and we would absolutely stay here again in the future. The location is fantastic, within easy walking distance to Gion and Yasaka Shrine, which made exploring the area incredibly convenient. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, with a thoughtful aesthetic that creates a relaxing and elegant atmosphere. We especially appreciated the spacious room, which is not always easy to find, along with the complete range of amenities that made our stay comfortable and hassle-free. The complimentary coffee in the lobby was a nice touch and perfect for starting the day. The staff were consistently helpful, kind, and welcoming, making us feel well taken care of throughout our visit. Another unique highlight was the hotel’s own kimono rental service, which added a special cultural experience to our trip. Overall, this hotel offers exceptional value, comfort, and charm—we highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
