We came to Four Seasons to celebrate my wife’s 60th birthday.
We received great service and welcoming, and we even received an upgraded room. The team of the reception noticed that we preferred a different location for our room, and they found a perfect location and room type for us, which made us very very happy and satisfied.
In addition, the concierge services helped us very much, especially ms. Chihiro Shinoda and ms. Hatsune Enomoto which helped us a lot to resolve two different problems which occurred during our stay.

The property is outstanding. It’s super clean (as with most places in Kyoto), is spacious and offers amazing photo opportunities. All the staff (and I mean every single person there) were friendly, courteous and knowledgeable about the hotel and area.

The property is beautifully located and a fairly central location in Kyoto. It has a beautiful private garden and breakfast area. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfy (as what you might expect from The Four Seasons). The breakfast if diverse and excellent.
If you are visiting Kyoto this is surly on of the Top 3 hotels in Kyoto.
There was nothing that we did not like. Perfect property!

Peaceful and top end of 5 star, better rise by the glass options is my only critique otherwise the wine by the glass was stunning. The spa, the koi carp lake, in fact everything is great about this hotel. Staff are amazing too

The breakfast was exceptional. The fruit was perhaps the best we ever had. It's hard to imagine having such amazing fruit again.

A different kind of heaven, since we came from the Four Seasons Tokyo at Otemachi. It was the same wonderful experience, but more peaceful and contemplative. The building has only four floors and stretches through a beautiful garden. It offers more intimacy, tranquility, and calm—perfect for a peaceful stay, enjoying massages, reflections, mental rest, and everything that Japanese culture is so well known for.
