Pleasant
- onsen
- food
- need to use Hotels shuttle service. Otherwise it impossible to access the public transport
- the pick up from gora station is at the post office. BUT the shuttle waits at the other end of the underpass from the post office.
- need to access staircase
- no lift
- private onsen is open air. Too cold

The breakfast was traditional Japanese. It was very very good, and there was a lot of it. We also took the dinner option which was outstanding in quality. I highly recommend taking these options especially as there aren't other options for dinner nearby.
The hotel wasn't far from a bus stop, but the walk from the bus stop to the hotel with travel luggage was complicated. It is best to go here with a car, but it is not difficult to access by the Bus J.

Staff was very nice. Food was great. The owner brought us to the bus stop afterwards and we were able to freshen up after using the baggage storage. A very nice stay!
Beds were what you would expect for a ryoukan.

Everything was clean and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. The woman at the front desk even gave us a ride to the nearby Sounzan station and back to the ryokan when we asked. Great food and amazing hospitality. They have two bath areas, one for women and one for men, and they swap them every night at 10 am so you get to try both bathrooms.

The onsen was incredible. The rooms were really nice and spacious. The breakfast and dinner were good. Main dishes were always good.
Comfort for futons (not much can change here). The distance from the bus station is a bit long. Food was hit or miss with a couple of side dishes.

It was our first time in ryokan. The hosts were very helpful and spoke English quite well. We had several questions before arriving and they responded on booking chat quickly and answer all our questions. They offer pickup at the Sounzan station, which was super helpful, because it was raining, but it's in walkable distance form the station if you like hiking. The host lady explained us everything we needed to know regarding our stay in ryokan. They offer 2 times of breakfast, 8:00 and 8:30 and you can choose which one you want during the check-in. They offered us also ride back to the Sounzan station after check-out. The facility is quite small (I guess 7 rooms), so it felt really cozy and welcoming. Some time after the dinner, both of the onsens were empty, so we had them for ourselves. Both breakfast and dinner were traditional japanese ryokan meals, there was raw fish, grilled fish, tempura fish, hot pot...and lots of other stuff. I recommend you to have lighter lunch before the arriving, because the total amount of food is large (this applies to the food in ryokan in general, so this information is for people who were not in ryokan before).
Only one of the servers seemed to speak English, but we managed. One of the onsen baths is very small, but they change them regularly, so you can wait for the larger one or book private one. I'm 190cm tall and even the largest yukata was a bit small for me, but still ok.

I like the ambience. Owner is very friendly and offered to pick us up at train station. Food was very delicious. Room was clean.
The only disadvantage is the location. If u drive, there is no issue. I definitely will come back.

Each member of the staff was very nice. They offered us the shuttle from and to the train station every day. The food was excellent. Great first hot spring bath with a nice view
The second hot spring bath was a little tight

Everything was amazing.
We were picked up by the host and were given transportation to and from the station everyday.
We were given yukatas which was pretty cool.
We had the breakfast and simple dinner there are two nights. The food was well prepared and delicious. 100% recommend!
The staff were kind and a delight to be around.
The room we stayed in was huge and comfortable for us two.
The hot spring was amazing. Even though the hot spring was a shared facility, it was often quiet and peaceful as there were no one else using it at the same time.

It was not a problem to get to the place, thanks to staff, who drove us several times by a car. The place has nice and small onsen inside.
I personally did not like the breakfast
