Wonderful
The hotel was great, staff was great and the breakfast was delicious. They had a hosted happy hour daily in the lobby lounge and that was really a nice bonus and fun to meet others at. The onsite onsen facilities were beautiful.
The only thing I think that could’ve been better is the carpet on the first floor where our room was is very outdated and worn-it definitely needs replaced. Other than that the property was great.

Nice view from the outside onsen bath.
We stayed in the nonrenovated room which was really tragic, everything was smelly and I didnt feel like in a clean room. The bathroom didnt have hot water at night for some reason.
The room was one floor down from reception, so it felt like a basement.
The onsen was on the same floor and even though they used many fans and AC, there was the smell of mold.
Onsen was big, inside and outside bath, but the water had only about 38 degrees, not the usual 42. For some it can be a plus.
Sauna on the other hand was at 100 Celsius and they put in disgusting towels on which everyone should sit. I took my own towel and it was dirty orange from the bench when I lifted it.
Breakfast was not buffet style, but you get a set of food, both days the same ‘american’ breakfast, which was ok.
I wouldnt be so harsh if it was half the price, but this was way overpriced.

It was an old facility, the room we stayed isn’t renovated yet but it was fine. We spend so much time at the onsen , it was the best!! Great spots for taking pictures at the terrace too, You can see the big (Dai )Kanji on the mountain. Polite staffs.
Old room, it wasn’t clean at all, we found some coins and lack of service because they didn’t have instant coffee in the room which is a shame.

The hotel was lovely and in a quite location with a nice onsen. The staff were very lovely and the free flow each evening was great.
The location was hard to get to after 5:30pm due to in being up very very steep hill (no walking) from Gora Station and the last cable car being at 5:55pm. The free shuttle service also finished at 6pm. There was no where local to get dinner and the restaurant there was very expensive and you had to pre book. The breakfast was also expensive.

Wow, the room was big and had two beds, was so clean I could see my own reflection, the stuff although didn’t have the best English were helpful and kind. And the onsen was really good and seeing the forest makes it magical. The hotel has a retro design so it gives a cool old fashioned atmosphere. Honestly the best hotel I’ve ever been to.

I didnt really like anything l. It was very old musty facility. The breakfast was so stingy. The staff was not helpful or accommodating. The onsen facilties did not appear clean. Very very overpriced.

We like the In-house onsen and the cable car connection.
Few outside restaurants nearby. I would recommend booking dinner at the hotel.

Hotel was lovely, staff were great, easy parking, they provided extra pillows as requested (thanks) room was spacious, clean, comfortable. Nice nightlight for the toilet and we appreciated the separate toilet. Plenty of charging ports. Breakfast was limited but very tasty. Staff were so very nice throughout the hotel experience.
We would prefer a soap dispenser in the separate toilet, for hygiene reasons. Dinner choice was limited so we walked elsewhere for that.

Wonderful staff, beautiful location, parking easy, room was clean and spacious and there was a separate toilet was nice. We very much appreciated the extra pillows and the night light, also plenty of charging ports near our beds. Fantastic view from the lobby and dining room. Breakfast was delicious, small selection, but very nice.
The separate toilet has no soap dispenser which we would prefer, for hygiene purposes. Dinner choice was limited so we had to walk to another local hotel for a larger selection.

Cozy room in amazing location. Pity streets were too steep to walk back to the hotel, but the views are amazing. Loved the big room and immaculate facilities. Drinks are offered free of charge in the afternoon, like tea or coffee, which adds value to the stay. Super modern and looks new. Would definitely recommend!

Refurbished rooms were comfortable, spacious and had great views. Onsen was lovely, but also needed updating.
Shuttle service was very handy, but should run beyond 6pm to allow for dinner in town without a steep walk on the hill afterwards.
Common areas were very dated and in need of a refresh, but given the rooms were recently refurbished, I assume this is on the cards.
